They make it to the city

The buildings tower over the four travelers as they enter Celadon City. Though Ash was still fairly aggravated by the impromptu battle between Pikachu and Hypno, he knew that he had to calm down so that he could think clearly once he re-challenge the Celadon gym leader. It had been a long time since Ash had visited this city to challenge Erika for the Rainbow Badge but the memories were still fresh in his mind. The perfume, the disguise, and the fire that he had rescued Erika's Gloom from.

“Hear we are, Marina's Bathhouse,” Brock stated merrily, shaking Ash from his thoughts. The bathhouse is a simple building, white on the outside walls with thick wooden trim. Inside's much the same except hanging on the walls are cute little paintings of water pokemon playing. In the center of the main entrance is a large desk with an older looking woman sitting behind it, reading a book of some kind. Behind her are a bunch of shelves with assortments of toiletries.

“Here,” Ash said to Brock while holding out his soiled backpack. “Do you think you could find somewhere to wash my clothes?”

Seeing how aggravated Ash was acting recently, he figured it be nice to give him one less thing to worry about. “Sure, would you like me to hold on to your pokemon, too?”

“Thanks, here you go,” He said handing Brock his pokeballs. “I'll keep Pikachu and Hypno with my, they need to get cleaned up anyway.”

With a nod, Brock is on his way out the door and Ash turns to approach the woman at the front desk. When he turns, however, he bumps right into a very large woman that had cut in line in front of him.

The woman turns to Ash, a displeased look on her face, holding a small tray of cleaning products. “Well?” she says blankly.

“Well, what?” Ash says raising an eyebrow.

“Aren't you going to say excuse me?”

“Why should I? I never would have bumped into you if you didn't cut in line.”

“Hmph, you should learn some manners, little boy.”

The woman hit a sore spot and Ash was boiling, again. Though he was no longer a child, he wasn't the tallest guy and still had a slight frame, which he had always been a bit sensitive about. “What! I'm not a little boy!You're the one that should learn some manners!”

Hypno pulled at Ashley's pant leg, trying to get her attention. He didn't know why she was acting so aggressively and wanted her to stop yelling. She seemed to get really upset at being called a boy.

Ash looked down at at Hypno and saw that he looked upset. Kneeling down, Ash patted him on the head to comfort him, “It's alright big guy.”

The woman took this time to disengage from the argument and by the time Ash was done reassuring Hypno, she had slipped into the woman's changing room.
