They go for the door

"Okay," she answered with certainty. "Let's do it."

Brandon sprang to his feet more quickly than he desired, and Chloe had to place her finger to her lips to remind him to be quiet. He apologized, but Chloe grabbed his arm and led him to the door in stealth.

Brandon reached the door in the foyer a half a step before Chloe, and grasped the handle to push down. He twisted, but the handle refused to budge.

"The fuck?" he cursed quietly. "It's locked."

"From the inside?" Chloe tried her hand at it as well, only to confirm Brandon's experience. Her mind tumbled over the thought as her eyes wandered to the front windows. Small latches sealed the edges of the bottom pane, and Chloe moved over to the nearest one for a closer look. Brandon followed in curiosity, as Chloe pointed to the latches. She gripped the bottom pane and tried to lift, but, like the door handle, it didn't move. Brandon fiddled with the latches and thought he unlocked them, but still the window stayed shut.

"They're locked too," Brandon stated. "I think all the windows are."

"Meaning the only exit is through the kitchen, where they are..." Chloe twitched. "Oh god, we're trapped."

The stentorian dong of the doorbell made both teens jump in their skins. They heard the crack of the opening kitchen door, and both of them blanched. Brandon twisted behind him to find a coat closet, and he instinctively grabbed Chloe's hand, pulling her in. He closed the door enough to leave a thin crack of light shining through, and Brandon peeked out to see Cassidy entering the foyer, a key in her hand.

"Bran... Bran..." Chloe hyperventilated, and he saw his friend shaking in the dim light.

"Chloe, it's okay, it's okay," he mouthed. Still she shivered, and Brandon wrapped his big arms around her. "She didn't see us, it's okay."

Brandon felt cozy and warm to Chloe, but kept shuddering. She felt him place her own arms around him, and she tightened herself close to him. Burying her face into his shoulder, she muttered. "We're trapped... we're trapped, oh god."

Brandon reinforced her tight hug with his own, but he was regretting this scenario a bit. Despite their perceived danger and their need to be quiet, Brandon had a hard time ignoring Chloe's well-endowed chest pushing into his upper abdomen, and his teenage body started to react. He hoped Chloe would be too distraught to notice, and he tried to focus on the matter at hand.

In the door crack, Cassidy chatted brightly with a taller woman in a green uniform and brimmed fedora. She had introduced herself as Jennifer White, a ranger assigned to this area of the woods, and she explained she was visiting the cabins in the areas to warn them of increased bear sightings. Cassidy did seem legitimately concerned, but said they had tranquilizer guns that could "take down an elephant at full charge." Brandon's stomach did somersaults at that statement, and Chloe's fears now appeared to be terrifyingly real.

Brandon turned his attention back to the girl in his arms, and Chloe seemed to have calmed a bit. Her shivering had ceased, but she still held on to him like a rope over an endless drop, and Brandon rubbed her back to keep consoling her.

"Hey," he whispered. "We'll get out of this. They don't know we're here." Brandon realized that his words really meant to keep both of them from emotionally collapsing. If they were to leave, they had to keep their heads.

"Bran..." Chloe replied, unmoving. "Is that... you?"

"Huh?"

"I mean... is that you, down there?"

Alarms clamored in his head. Fuck she noticed, fuck! Damn my fucking dick!

"Uh..." was all he could say. Even in the dim light, Chloe's flush shone.

She still held onto him, breasts still quashing into him, but though their movement in the closet was limited so releasing the hug would've been problematic. However, Brandon continued to reciprocate, and his back rubbing had ended right above her ass.
