They get pampered

“Hmmm… I think a wax is in order. Plus your roots need touching up. And your nails too. Leslie, you finish up with your clients. Barbie, you’re with me”.

Donna handled Emily while Barbie was with Andrea.

Simultaneously Andrea and ‘her’ companion had full body waxes, paraffin soaks, touch-ups and restyles to their hair, and their silk wrap nails replaced and re-shaped, Andrea gaining 1-inch stilettos nails in hot pink while Emily retained her almond-shaped half-inch nails.

Andrea’s hair had grown a little, now resting between the shoulder and jawline with an increased volume and a slight recolour to a more vivid shade of scarlet.

The changes were made at the suggestion of Barbie, who Andrea just agreed with for convenience.

Andrea felt a little guilty at having ‘her’ treatments done with somebody besides Vicki from The Look, but rationalised that it wasn’t really ‘her’ choice anyway, forgetting to consider the fact that ‘she’ thought ‘she’ didn’t want the procedures in the first place.

Andrea and Emily said their goodbyes to the Beauty Spot staff, and Donna reiterated, “If you want to have some first-hand experience at what it’s like to be a beautician, just let us know and we can set you up with something”.

A little while later, Emily insisted on driving Andrea back home, who reluctantly agreed, making sure she dropped ‘her’ off a few blocks away from ‘her’ own home.

The ride there was pleasant, the two gossiping and chatting, making each other laugh.

They said their fond goodbyes, then Andrea left down an alley, using the ‘backdoor’ excuse ‘she’ used with Brian while Emily watched on, finally remerging after she drove away, and headed back home.

For Andrea, the day hadn’t been too bad all-in-all.

Sure ‘she’ had to endure all the lying and girlish activities but Emily was a blast to hang out with and the kind of lady that would make an excellent aunt or mother-in-law.

Emily however was over the moon with the day’s events.

She loved how sweet, funny, and downright adorable Andrea was, even if ‘she’ was as dumb as a sack of hammers.

Luckily that was favourable as it meant ‘she’ wouldn’t pose too much of an intellectual challenge for Brian and would stop ‘her’ becoming cynical to pressures of married life, much like Emily had with Brian’s father.

That and ‘her’ natural sexiness made Andrea a perfect prize for her son.

Emily could hear wedding bells ringing in the distance, and she vowed she would see to it that Brian would do his utmost to keep his girlfriend, and hopefully wife, happy.
