As Hajme began to fiddle with things, he made small talk, knowing the longger he delayed, the faster the girls could go under.

"So, Yukari, have you known Mitsuru long?"

"Yeah," Yukari said, a bit dreamily. "We were friends back in high school."

"You went to Gekkokan High, right?" Hajme asked. "The one on that manmade island?"

"Right..." Mitsuru said, eyes blinking slowly as the lights did their work.

Hajme had them tell him a story from their high school days, but they didn't even get through it as they were soon both in blank, mindless trances.

"Ladies?" he asked, making sure they were truly under. No response. Perfect.
