They are still safe and doing their thing

Jenna walked down stairs into the exotic topics section of the main capital's Royal library. It was located in the basement of the old stone building. The library was constructed in the side of a mountain, so it was dug out instead of build from the ground up. You could see the rugged way of digging done by the ancestors particularly well in this part of the library. Torches lit up the dark grey rocky walls and Jenna followed the light down towards the place where books and other writings were kept of all thing ancient, unknown and unused.

When she got down stairs she walked into a weakly lit hallway with lots of sideways deeper into the basement. Above the sideways names and subjects of what writings might generally be stored down that corridor, but because lots of these writings were about something most people didn't know about, archiving them wasn't done that well or was too hard. This wasn't Jenna's first time here though, far from it. So she had some experience with searching through the basement's content. Still, it would probably take her a reasonably large amount of time to find something here if she would be able to find something here at all.

Jenna continued down the main hall, carefully checking out each nameplate. "Ancient catastrophies", "Alchemic notes", "Exotic wildlife", "Occult beings". "Hmmm, that last one might be a good place to start. " Jenna reckoned and stepped down that path. When she walked past the books, scrolls, paper stacks, etc, carefully taking in all the titles and subjects, she reckoned it would take her quite some time to go through it all. She closed her eyes and sighed deeply by the thought of having to go through it all when close to her ear she heard a deep and slow voice say "Can I help you?". Jenna's heart almost jumped out of her throat and she almost fell into the dug out stone shelves.

When she looked at the source of the voice, she saw an old looking man with a pale and wrinkled face that looked extra scary in the shadows and torchlight. "I do hope I didn't scare you, young lady. Let me introduce myself. I am Grundlestein and I am the keeper of knowledge within the library basement." the man said after seeing Jenna's reaction. "Jenna, still trying to get back properly on her feet, said "G-g-grundle...stein? It's...uhmmm...it's a pleasure. And a surprise. Deffinitely a surprise.". Jenna finally managed to get on her feet and tried to straighten up her act again. "Well, Grundlestein. Maybe you CAN help me." Jenna said, starting to feel awkward again as the man was bowing from left to right, vhevking her out throughly.

"Miss, might I ask, are you one of those, whatchamacalled….ah! Valkyries! Are you?" he asked. Jenna replied "Uhmmm." then nodded carefully. "Yes, that...I am." she answered. This news really lit up the man's face as he almost started to jump up and down. "You are amazing! Such strong and beautiful women warriors. You all have my sincere gratitude for our country's peace, for our piece." the man said as he bowed down so deep, Jenna thought he would tumble down. "That's all right!" Jenna quickly said as she grabbed the man's arm and shoulder, trying to keep him upright. The man then grabbed her hand and said "Mmmm, so soft, yet so strong. Miss valkyrie…" he started, but Jenna interupted him: "Jenna".

The man smiled warmly and corrected himself "Miss Jenna. If you'd please tell me what you are looking for, I would be honored to bring all my knowledge and experience to bear so you have found what you were looking for here. So Jenna told him about the name Maizoth, about the egg and what she saw happened in her vision, leaving out the fact that it was another valkyrie which was the victim. The man didn't look surprised by her details, but kept a straight face, then said "Ok, I got the details. Please, if you would take paths 3, 4, 6 and 8, then I will look into the more special and exotic places even for this part of the library.".
