There’s one key thing Lauren forgot…

April smirked as she watched Lauren’s car driving away. She walked over to the phone and dialed the number to the police station. “Hello, how may I help you?”

“Yes, I’d like to report a stolen vehicle,” April said as she held both Lauren’s license and registration information in her hand. “I’m not sure who the driver is, but I do have the license plate. They just left my neighborhood.”

“Okay, please give me the license plate and the street they were heading for,” the officer said.

April gave the details and then hung up. April smirked as she showed the documents to the rest of the party who burst out laughing. “Uh oh,” Lisa said. “Looks like someone is going to be in big trouble.”

“And even better, they’ll think she’s some little kid who stole her mom’s clothes and car,” another girl said.

They heard police sirens and gazed out the window. Lauren didn’t even get that far as she was just up the road. “Let’s go watch,” April said. “Shhh.”
