There's no nobody there

As you step into the lounge with Minka, you see nobody else there. You look around just to make sure, before you turn to Minka. "Did you lose someone?" you ask her.

Minka shakes her head and instead goes to pick up a tv remote and points it at the a big screen in the lounge. The TV turns on and you see a live E! News channel featuring some sort of red carpet event. There's a couple of people reporting from a studio, commenting on the outfits of the people in attendance, nothing you haven't seen before.

"I don't get it," you say.

"You know how I asked you which celebrities you would like me to recruit to the mansion?" Minka says.

"Uh huh."

"And 1 of them is Olivia Rodrigo, the young pop singer?

"Uh huh." You're still waiting to see where this is going.

"Well, I reached out to her recording label and got in touch with her agent..."

"Uh huh..."

"But her agent wouldn't even put me in contact with Olivia when I told her why I was calling."

"What did you say when you said why?" you ask.

"Um, I said who I was and that I was a big fan, then I said I was calling to invite her to a party over here with you..."

"And what did her agent say?"

"She said Olivia wasn't interested and hung up. Honestly, I don't think she even checked with Olivia," Minka says with a shrug.

"So... you didn't recruit her?"

"Not quite... but I saw on social media that she's attending Academy Museum of Motion Pictures Opening Gala tonight, and..." Minka then pauses the live broadcast and rewinds the program and you wait for her to find whatever she's looking for. She ends up going too far back and she has to forward it until she gets to what she's looking for and she presses play. The recording starts again and it sounds the young singer Olivia Rodrigo arriving at the gala in a stunning strapless black dress. The ensemble has a thigh-high slit and a plunging neckline that shows off her cleavage. In fact, it show off so much of her cleavage that you can practically picture her topless with just a little imagination. Her hair pulled back with a few soft waves hanging down to frame her face and she has some makeup on with a bold red shade of lipstick. She looks insanely sexy.

"Woah," you can't help uttering.

"Super hot, right? And now you know where she is," Minka says, pointing at the screen.

"So... you didn't really recruit her and instead just found her on tv?" you say.

Minka looks uncomfortable as she knows that she hasn't done her job exactly as you asked. "I mean, she's there, see? You can just go there and... you know, do your thing."
