The village is under attack!

You wake up to the feeling of the earth shaking. The entire house is vibrating and you look out the window to see the island is under attack! Strange little creatures, all black with no facial features but two glowing yellow eyes, are chasing the people of the village.

You are pulling on your clothes when Kairi runs past your house yelling for help. A moment later you see a group of the creature going after her. You jump out the window after them to protect your friend. You grab an oar as you chase after the creatures and take them out one by one, hitting them in thier heads and watching them disappears in little puffs of smoke.

You finally catch up with Kairi down by the beach. "Kairi! Are you all right," you ask as you wrap your arms around her.

She rests her head on your chest as she sobs. "What's happening? Why are these things attacking our island?"

"I don't know, but-- Kairi, look out!" You push her behind you as more of the shadow creatures appear and head towards you. Brandishing the oar like a sword, you manage to keep them away until you hear Kairi yell out again. You look behind you to see that kairi is being swept away by some unseen ****. She disappears into a cave by the beach and you chase after her. Running through the cave, you get to the end just in time to see your friend swept into a large door that slams shut in front of you. "Noooo! Kairi!" You beat on the door with your fists but it doesn't budge.

Suddenly, the entire cave began shaking. You run towards the entrance only to find that the island is breaking apart and the ocean has disappeared leaving a black void behind. You run up the piece of island that is left even as more of the island is torn away into nothingness.

As you reach the top of the hill, you find a giant monster, like the shadow creatures but one hundred times taller. Before you even have time to react, it swings a giant fist at you, knocking you off of the island into the black void.
