The trapped corridor

The opening leading to the back room is in the back left corner of the chamber. You walk over to look down the dark passageway. On the floor just in front of the opening, you see a series of runes etched into the stone. The symbols are familiar to you; they spell out a warning in Goblin: "Beware the wrath of Groogra! None shall pass."

You crouch down to get a closer look at the runes, studying them intently. They are similar to some ancient goblin traps you've seen before, but with a few crude modifications that make it difficult to discern their exact purpose. It's clear, however, that they are meant to deter intruders from entering the back room.

As you contemplate your next move, you notice something peculiar about one of the runes. There appears to be a slight indentation in the stone around it. Intrigued, you press down on the indrawn symbol. Nothing happens at first, but then you hear a click! from somewhere within the chamber. Moments later, a section of the room wall slides open revealing another passageway—a secret passageway next to the original one! The first passage must be a trapped decoy.

Heart pounding with excitement, you take up your torch and cautiously enter the hidden passageway. The air inside is musty and stale, and cobwebs hang from the low ceiling.

As you venture further into the dark passage, you tread carefully, using your torch to illuminate your path and Una's warning about Groogra's traps in mind.

This hallway seems not to be trapped. The narrow passageway winds and twists, but you eventually come to a door. You examine it looking for triggers for traps.

You take a deep breath, summoning your courage, and reach for the handle. The door creaks open with a resounding groan, revealing a small chamber beyond. You light a torch mounted on the wall, the flickering light casting an eerie glow over two chests and a sack.
