The syndrome

Xander carefully settled in next to the door of the Library and listened intently. He should be washing off and getting cleaned up. Buuuut the lure of knowing what the new and improved Giles and Ms. Calendar were up to was too good to pass up.

He was sadly disappointed.

They were just talking.

Worse, Giles was downplaying the whole situation. Whatever curiosity Xander had aroused in Ms. Calendar was being snuffed out by Giles being secretive and dismissive with a heavy dose of downplaying the situation. New female Giles had even somehow managed to shift the topic of conversation in all of two minutes.

Xander just had to stop and wonder what the big deal was. Why was Giles keeping secrets?

Unless new and improved female Giles wasn't with Ms. Calendar in a romantic sense. Had he changed the past that much with whatever it is he had written? Then again he hadn't written anything about the prejudice against being Gay or Lesbian. So proper english woman Giles being all prim and proper and straight laced might not be into other women.

Well, he could fix that. Now how to word this to be all inclusive...

Old Rule: There is no prejudice against gay men or lesbian women or transexual people. People accept alternate lifestyles.

Xander looked up from his notebook and craning his head to the side he listened in on Giles and Ms. Calendar. From the sound of it the two were slightly flirty, a little back and forth banter. Like he remembered them being when they had first started interacting beyond staff members at a school. Not exactly the two of them pledging their love to one another, ripping their clothes off and having passionate monkey sex on the library tables. But it was a start. And Giles being so wound up it should be easy to push the two over the edge into having a relationship that old Giles had really needed.

And he could help things along...

Old Rule: Women can suffer from the 'Popeye Syndrome'. When a woman in a rigid role or job or position reaches a breaking point and has 'all that they can stand and cant stands no more' the women go temporarily berserk and given into whatever desire, usually sexual desires, they have been repressing until they have sated their needs.

Xander listened and waited. It shouldnt take all that long for someone as tightly wound as Giles to reach their limit and go 'Pop'.
