The stable

Thinking tactically, Lyara decided the best decision was to head to the stables so she could get a look of the cavalry the fortresses army had access to, that’s if they had any at all. Making her way into the stables the heroine first noticed how empty the place was, sure there were stall filled with hay and water troughs but there was no one here.

Looking around Lyara noticed a few things you would usually find in a stable riding crops and feeders but then the blonde noticed a few items that seemed off. First it was the strange looking saddles that looked as if they were connected to strange looking harnesses, then it was the chains hanging from the ceiling looking like they attached to something. Lastly there were the collars, ‘why would they need collars for horses, and aren’t they a bit small.’ The adventurer thought, clearly confused.

She was quickly broken from her thoughts when she heard the noise of hooves coming towards her. Thinking on the spot Lyara spotted a stair way heading into another room and a smallish window leading outside the barn into what looked like a farm. On the other hand it didn’t sound like a lot of people coming, she could set an ambush for who ever rode in through the stables main door.
