The skirt is there, but everything else is gone

Melissa breathed a sigh of relief when she saw her skirt on the counter by the doctor. Making sure to tip-toe to the counter, she quietly took her skirt from the counter but saw nothing else there.

"Ummm," she whispered to the dentist, "did you see a shirt and bra around here, by any chance?"

"Sorry, ma'am," the dentist whispered back, "Brad just came here a minute ago with that skirt, and there wasn't anything on there when we came in. Someone must've taken in for cleaning.

"Okay," Melissa looked down quietly and was relieved to see her purse was still on the floor by the chair where she had put it back when she had clothes on. She quietly bent over to pick it up before looking back at her skirt.

As she had feared, her panties were nowhere to be found within the skirt, and they weren't on the counter or anywhere in the room when she looked. Noticing the dentist growing impatient with her, she just stepped into her skirt, quickly looked through her purse to find it unmolested, and quickly skedaddled out of the room, through the waiting room where everyone once again stared deeply at her, and out to the parking lot.

Melissa felt weird in only her skirt and sandals. On one hand, being topless was better than being bottomless like earlier - at least now she couldn't worry about tugging down, and it made her feel a little bit naughty in a more acceptable way than being completely naked. On the other hand, the light skirt felt funny on her usually-pantied areas - she could feel the sheen material caress her butt, and noticed her bush brushing up on it. Looking down, she was sure her bush wasn't on display, but felt concerns that any moisture she produced would leak through and cause spots. This was combined with the misfortune of not having anything to cover her bosom on the drive home.
