The sink

She stepped across to the sink, using the curtain rail around the shower for support. From there she reached into the opening in the ceiling, grabbing hold of whatever she found and dragging herself into the hole. However, as she did so she felt the rail give way and collapse with a loud crash into the bath. Hurriedly Leanne hauled herself up. Disappearing into the opening just as she heard the click of the bathroom door unlocking.

With her heart beating loudly she carefully replaced the tile back to its original position. She listened carefully for Marie’s voice with one hand over her mouth to hide her panicked breaths. All was still and calm below her.

But just as she thought she was safe the curtain rail came shooting up through the ceiling tile just next to her. It was less than half a metre away and she gave a sharp shriek before clamping her hand over her mouth again. The pole disappeared again only to shoot up seconds later at the other side.

Leanne’s heart was racing even faster now. She was trapped naked in the ceiling. If Marie caught her now she’d be in even more trouble than before. She was left with two choices. To try and grab the rail and snatch it from Marie’s grasp or try to crawl away across the dusty ceiling tiles.
