The ship was not safe.

Paran stayed with Charles for awhile, just enjoying cuddling the person who was most precious to her and truly far surpassed any other before. She'd never close to feeling like this for a family member or soilders under her command. She'd never dated, so he'd long shot past that list.

Sadly, all good things must come to an end, and so she had to leave the bed and go and tend to her duties on the ship. The captain wanted her to go over to the ships holding area to oversee the prisoners and make sure there were no escape attempts. While they brought their doomsday weapon to completion and won the war. Paran was less than pleased with this outcome, as she now had even less time with her dear Charles, but she couldn't defy her captain for now at least.

So Paran made her way down to the holding cells for the Justice League, thinking about how stupidly smug the captain was about the capture and knowing it was more about Shayera picking him over the green lantern than it was about beating the Justice League.

She made it about half way there when an explosion seemed to rip through the ship. Paran made to the nearest monitoring station to see it seemed like an explosion because the justice league was loose and they were tearing their way through the transport beam, which would take them past the energy shield in front of the generator for their super weapon.

Paran, wondering how the hell they got loose, checked the footage to see Shayera had once again changed sides. The faces of the Justice League's members told her that much. Unless she wasn't made that they shayera had betrayed them, she just wished she picked a man and stuck to him and stopped opening her legs for both.

That's when Paran began to panic as the Justice League, in their mad dash to stop the super weapon, were destroying all the walls in their way. Which means at any moment they could accidentally crush Charles, killing him instantly. She flew as fast as her wings could take her to her precious boy.
