Who should he approach?

The sensitive tiefling woman

Chapter 5 by FreakyFreak

Robert knew it would be smart to get strong companions for this undertaking, but he couldn't help himself. He had to see if the pretty women were interested, before checking the stronger ones. Setting his eyes on the orange tiefling, he prepared himself. He did not want to mess this up. Taking a deep breath, he headed in her direction while discretely checking her out.

5'6, ridged brown horns curling to the side like a ram's, long and silky wavy brown hair with bangs, a cute and soft face, a simple but nonetheless delectable figure, and a long ridged tail. She was dressed in casual clothes, but colored to suit her colorful orange skin; white and brown with reds and yellows.

"Hey there," He greeted as he came up, cringing internally. She turned to face him, expression lightening at being spoken to. "Hi." She said lightly. "How would you... like to join my party? We're setting off to defeat The Darkness." He proposed, hands on his belt casually. Her eyebrows raised. "Wow, really? That's amazing. I'd love to join, but uh..." She hesitates, looking self-conscious, rubbing her neck. "Well, I've been in a few parties before, and they've kinda treated me, y'know, rudely, because I'm-" "A tiefling?" You ask, acting surprised, though it was what you expected based off of Hilda's comment. "Well yeah, but also because I'm just a bard." She removed a small drum from her bag meekly. "Most people only care for bards when it comes to spreading the tale, not for helping with the journey." She explained.

Robert was taken aback. Who in their right minds would ever treat this incredibly cute woman badly just because of some dumb things like that? He would never.

"Well, don't worry. I wouldn't allow that in my party. No problem." He assured her with a smile. "Really? Yay!" She exclaimed with a small clap for herself. "Can I meet them?" She asked. "Uh, actually, you know what? They're all packing because we're leaving, uh, today. You should probably do the same, and we'll meet up, uh... at the city gate!" Robert fibbed, acutely aware he had no such party yet. "Alright, awesome! See you-oh wait! Totally forgot, my name's Inphi." She said, holding a hand out. "R-Robert Faldon, at your service." He stuttered, shaking her hand with a little bow. Like an idiot. She giggled, and then headed out excitedly.

Robert sighed deeply, wiping the sweat off his brow. He had no idea how he managed to not turn her off.

Nonetheless, now he needed some more companions, and ones with no problems with tieflings or bards.
