Chapter 7 by Roar of The Winning Punch Roar of The Winning Punch

What's next?

The second Day -Evening

I was feeling all sorts of things about Blair when the evening came around. None of them polite or gentle. What was she hiding? Why wouldn’t she talk about the app? Did she know who was behind it? The mayor, or the comptroller or something? Was this all some weird government experiment? Was Eric in danger now that I mentioned him?

All questions I’d love to ask Blair, but would be asking Ginger instead. I needed to check off some names from this quest or I was going to be too stinky for people to let me into their house. Maybe a mingin’ snatch was the solution to this harem problem. Can’t seduce me if I make you retch every time I drop my drawers.

Putting that firmly as Plan B I headed over to our Local Diner, The Peckish Whale. A local brick of a building, with an affable whale pondering a menu on its front. This was the last known location of Ginger. If I was still working the same dead-end job I had in college I’d kill myself. Respectfully. I didn’t expect to find her here, but maybe someone knew where she lived.

The place was a ghost town, with nothing but a single lady in a cheery yellow uniform manning the counter. “Have a seat.” She said laying a menu out for me on the counter.

‘I guess I could go for a coffee.’ I thought, falling nearly totally in love with the pretty Hispanic girl at a single glance. “Thanks! It’s cold out there.”

“Bad for business.” She agreed looking around. “You better be a big tipper.” She warned.

“Your service better blow my mind.” I warned back, a wide grin spreading across my face. She had thick eyebrows, just how I like em’.

“I’ll see what I can do. Need a minute?” She gestured to the menu.

I pushed it away. “I’ll take a coffee, and some information.”

She cocked an eyebrow. “Well that’s intriguing.”

Not as intriguing as someone who’d use that word in a conversation. “Do you know a girl who used to work here, named Ginger?”

Her face showed exaggerated recognition. “Well sure, she was just on shift. She works the afternoons.”

I sighed. “Just missed her.”

“You a bounty Hunter or something?” She poured me some coffee.

“Why? Did she jump bail?”

“No.” She grinned as every small town gossip will when dishing the goods. “But I hear that black fella she’s been hanging around with has.”

“Uh-huh.” Well, that wasn’t the most polite way to identify someone, but that actually really narrowed things down for me. That had to be Blessing, no? I mean I’ll cop to a little racial profiling in my guess, but there really were that few black people in town. Ugh, now she’s got me doing it. “Do you know where I can find this fella?”

She lit up. “You really are a bounty hunter!”

“Oh yeah, I got a list and everything.”

She liked that. “How do you get into a job like that?”

“The guy?” I reminded her.

“Oh.” She waved her hand dismissively. “He works at one of the shops down by the bay.” She meant Autoshops. No one wanted to buy purses down where the fish trollers dropped off.

That was his uncle’s shop if I remember right. Alright so we were talking about Blessing. That was kind of heart warming. Our two outcasts still fast friends after their stalled lives.

I liked that.

I sipped from my coffee, feeling a plan for tomorrow take shape. “So I’m staying in this abandoned house off main. Want to come over so I can show you my gun?” That line would have killed at some of the bars i frequented.

She smiled. “That better not be my big tip.”

“It could be your mind blowing service though.”

She smiled some more, but shook her head. “I work until the wee hours, bounty hunter.”

“Ah.” I sipped from my coffee. “Ships in the night then?”

“Ships in the night.” She agreed.

——-

I laid on my inflatable mattress. (Hand pumped, no electricity) bundled in blankets. My space heater (Solar Powered, no electricity) hummed beside me as I stared at my app.

Lez-nitiation!

Read one of my perks, permanently denoting the developer of this app as a staunch ally.

Women like it when you come on strong. So long as you initiate and are aggressive women won’t think too hard about whether they’re gay or not while sleeping with you.

Heh… Surprise!

So yeah… I had other reasons to suspect that the apps intentions were… horny.

Not every reward could be a house right?

Well that had been a big success. If that waitress hadn’t had financial concerns to deal with I’d be up to my wrist in hometown. A woman so woke she referred to Blessing as ‘That Black Fella’ spreading her legs for me, the out of town lez with a gun.

I didn’t have a gun, but I don’t think she would have minded once I got her on this air mattress.

It would have at least made a nice little side quest to my other objective.

Reunite the Gang!

I’d made one contact all day, and she was my neighbor! Tomorrow would be better. At least I had an idea of what their schedules were like now. If I was smart I could ace three people off the list no problem… blech and still face another shivering night without electricity.

Ironically if I’d just fucking called the power company today instead of faffing about in the snow, I’d be find.

“Some magical app you turned out to be.”

Then…

Through my window…

The sound of moaning.

“Oh great.” I sighed and went to the window. Sure enough just two feet away beyond the property line, the light was on. It was on and beyond the door Kate was having sex. “Lucky Marshall.” I whispered remembering that body plowing away at the treadmill.

I remembered it a little too well, my stomach got all tingly.

Then it hit me.

Marshall works the night shift.

Kate was fucking someone else in there.

I instantly felt anger rush through me. Anger! What right did I have to that? It wasn’t for Marshall, he’d survive. It was for me! It was for that little girl I used to love. She would have hated to think she could ever cheat on her husband. Now she was head and burried and this adult sized disappointment had taken over her life…

No. Stop.

Marshall works at a store, this guys never work m-f. He probably just has a weird week. Mondays off, something like that.

Yeah.

Okay, I calmed down.

The found myself just sitting there like I used to. Staring into her curtains wishing for a peak.

“Oh yeah, oh yeah, thank you!” She moaned from out of sight.

Come on, just say his name.

I was rubbing my stomach by this point. Making little circles around my soft tummy. I was doing this before I realized a certain urge to go further…

Lower down…

Where the figs lay…

——-

We’ve reached the end of day two.

It’s time to find out a little more about our Alice. In other words is she the type of girl to play with herself while spying on the neighbors, or does she have the good sense to mind her own business?

You decide!
