The same group, round two.

The woman was holding a card that said "Forget everything that has happened to you until now and believe anything you're told about your past." What a strange thing to have. She looked up from the card and was startled to see that she was at a table with several other people who were also holding cards.

"Hello," one man said amicably. He was thin, with short-cropped black hair and a white t-shirt and jeans. "Who are you? What am I doing here?"

"I don't know," said another woman, a short, skinny brunette. "I just came to holding this card."

"Same here," said a sandy-haired man with a Mediterranean complexion. "The card says to forget everything and believe everything you hear. Does anyone else's say that?"

"Did you guys just see the cards?" said the blonde on an armchair in the corner of the room.

She must know what's going on. "Who are we?" the woman asked.

The blonde laughed. "You're Theresa! You must have just seen the cards."

"I must have," she said. She had no recollection of being Theresa. "I think everyone but you did."

"Did what?" the blonde asked curiously.

"Saw the cards," the dark-haired man said. "Are you ok?"

The blonde laughed again. "I'm fine, Martin. Don't worry about me."

Theresa (the name felt foreign but it was all she had to go on) spotted a piece of paper on the coffee table with handwritten notes. She grabbed it and looked over the text.

When you wake up, none of you will remember anything except Claire. She will have to help you remember, but her own memory only lasts a few seconds. You should each have a piece of paper in your pocket with specific instructions for you. Don't worry about anything - nothing that happens here will have any consequences. Have fun!

"Hey guys, do you have notes in your pockets?" Frankie asked as she fished a small piece of paper out of hers. Everyone else found similar notes. Theresa read her own note.

Hi Theresa! Please don't read this aloud. This is you from when you had memories. You're playing a game right now that can alter your mind, and as a fun experiment we decided to remove most of the group's memories. They all have notes like this one, but I have some specific instructions for you. Right now I'm helplessly in love with Drew because of the game, but you won't be. I recommend you immediately try to get a love card to fall in love with him, because it feels incredible. I also got a card telling me to be chill - I recommend that one too if you can find it. Have fun, and don't trust Frankie!

Theresa glanced up and saw Frankie already flipping through the deck. She reached over and grabbed a few dozen cards to look through herself.

"So if we give each other these cards, we have to do whatever they say?" Drew asked. "That seems like it could get out of hand."

"Does anyone have a love card?" Theresa asked. "I'm specifically supposed to look for-"

She was interrupted as Frankie slid a card in front of her.
