The ring

Liandra ponders for a long time, and eventually asks. "May I have a closer look at the ring please?"

"Really?" the dark elf woman places the ring in the princess hands, and asks "aren't you worried about its side effects? It is most abhorrent to the gods, as you said" the irony in her words was lost to the innocent princess.

"Two men can commit vile acts, and risk their bodies and souls. But two women lack the means to consume the base desire." Regardless of magic, the ring also was a piece of beauty, a thin silver band with three embedded rubies. Liandra didnt put the ring on, there was no reason to try the magic here. "Would two emeralds suffice as payment?"

The dark elf laughed, and offered. "I will accept one, and ask for the other only after you verified the ring´s potency. And perhaps, if you are pleased, you may even pay me more. Lets say, in a week?" Liandra agreed to the conditions, and handed the larger precious stone.
