The raid begins

Libet felt a pit in her stomach at the thought of what could become of her if she didn't prove herself here. Tria's punishment, as bad as it would likely be, would only be the start. Given mages had a higher chance of birthing fellow mages, there was a timeline where Libet became the breeding slave of the other village mages.

In an attempt to prevent that future, she sought out a way to stand out in this battle.

A force led by one of the hobgoblins had already charged towards the opening in the southern wall, but it seemed they'd noticed the guard on the wall get killed and managed to reach the hole in their defense before the invaders could enter their village. The hole itself was only wide enough for three goblins, including the hobgoblin, to try and get through at a time. This meant that part of the battle was in a stalemate until the hobgoblin's party could push through.

That said, if Libet could create another entrance into the village...

That was when she noticed a half-fallen tree near the walls. It had been blown so hard in the storm that its roots had been ripped from the ground in one side and it was leaning at an angle. If Libet could move the earth beneath it just right...

With all of her strength, she pulled dirt off of the roots, and with less roots holding it in place it began to lean further and further towards the enemy village until after a few moments it fell onto their wall.

While the wall was sturdy enough to endure the falling tree, the tree was at least large enough for a goblin to walk across it.

Libet had just created a second entrance into the Skunk Skull Village, which Tria's squad quickly took advantage of. As the lesser goblins began scrambling up the tree, Tria slapped the younger goblin on the back. "Now that's more like it! As long as our group catches a few slaves and I can do something about my erection, I'll forgive your first blunder!"

After saying that, Tria charged after the lesser goblins, with Libet tailing her.

The goblins at the front of their group had already managed to reach the wall and jump down, and were now attacking the defenders from behind.

By the time Libet entered the village, the first wave of defenders would likely be down and the hobgoblin's forces would enter.

But with the infiltration successful, how will Libet do next?
