The others slowly recover

As soon as Shepard walked out, Chakwas entered. She had an omni tool and datapad as she ran through the data. “At this point you need a lot of rest,” Chakwas said. “You’ve been exhausted and pushed to the edge even with your asari endurance, it’s not enough to bring you back to full strength yet. Like I told Jack, there is to be no intercourse or anything exciting for 48 hours. It doesn’t matter how you feel. You need to preserve energy. Take these every hour with water.”

It was a long 48 hours. Miranda woke up sometime during that and Jack was by her side. “Miri… I’m so sorry. I should have known. I should have come save you. God that bitch is going to pay for everything she did to you. I’m going to fucking peel her skin off her body and feed it to Eezo.”

“Jack…” Miranda said a bit weak. “I’ve… missed you… so much. Your touch. I…”

“Shhh… rest now. We can talk when you’re back to yourself.”

Soon after Miranda recovered, Ashley was next. Ashley was by the far in the worst shape of them all. Having been imprisoned for over a year at least at the hands of Brooks. Tali came to visit her. She was in her suit after learning the whole contract thing was a fake. She couldn’t believe Brooks had managed to fool the Rannoch Republic.

She sat down between Liara and Ashley. Both of who immediately had concerns for her. “I should’ve protected you,” Ashley said as she grasped Tali’s hand. “I should have been there for you. The way you were used and treated like… like…”

“Ashley, it’s okay,” Tali said. “I was able to handle myself. I am far more capable than you know.”

“I know…” Ashley said. “And I don’t think I ever… I don’t think I ever apologized to you or Liara for the things I said back on the SR1. Seeing Brooks do those… horrible things. It reminded me of…”

“Ashley, I promise,” Tali said. “I forgave you a long time ago. I know you’re not the same person you were when we met. And neither am I. I was also the one who was prejudice toward the geth. Let’s just agree to get drinks when you’re all recovered.”

Ashley smiled. “I wouldn’t want any other drinking partner.”

Liara smiled. “And I forgave you a long time ago too, Ash. I trust you almost as much as I trust Shepard. I’m sorry I didn’t notice you were missing.”

“That bitch was too convincing,” Ashley gritted her teeth. “And that probably says a lot about me…”

“So was mine,” Liara said. “But we both know they’ve got nothing on us.”

Ashley nodded. “Thanks… I’ll remember that.”

Then Tali left leaving Miranda, Ashley, and Liara by themselves as they finished recovering.
