Chapter 96 by Duskford Duskford

What happens next?

The night goes on

Meanwhile, Brandon was leaning on the wall between the big TV and the kitchen’s door with Ashley on his arms looking at the others. He fought the urge to sigh, his girlfriend barely spoke three words to him ever since they arrived there.

He surer than ever that Ashley was going to break up with him any moment now. It was just a matter of finding the right guy.

His negative thoughts were interrupted by Ashley’s older sister Hannah walking over to them with her phone in hand. Brandon was ashamed to admit he had jerked off a few times thinking about her, she was almost like a three years older version of Ashley. He recalled Zack telling him that he used to or still has a crush on the older blonde. ”Not that I can blame him, the girl looks like a freaking **** of nature, anyone would have a crush on her.”

“Hey, having fun?” Hannah asked, stopping beside the two of them.

“Yeah.” Ashley replied with a small smile, but Hannah could tell her little sister was troubled. After their earlier conversation, she felt sorry for the guy holding her as well.

“So, Shawn’s game is almost finishing,” Hannah said. “I was thinking about putting on some music after it does.”

“It’s a great idea,” Brandon agreed. “It’s been too quiet around here.”

“Bran’s right.” Ashley chimed in.

“I was looking into my phone for a few songs, but then I remembered you and Heather have quite the good ones on yours,” Hannah said, pocketing her phone. “Wanna help me with the playlist?”

“Sure.” Ashley nodded enthusiastically.

“Alright then, I’m gonna look around some more while you two do it. Later, love.” Brandon said, leaning down and planting a peck on his girlfriend’s lips.

“Later.” Ashley replied once he drew back.

Brandon then walked away, deciding to search for Zack and Gavin.

“You and Gavin?” Taylor asked, a little skeptical. “That’s, how can I say, unexpected.”

“Tell me about it.” Chloe mumbled, sneaking a glance to the boy in question, who was talking to Zack not too far from them.

“I got to admit I’ve never thought there’d be any romantic feelings between the three of you.” Taylor said.

Ever since her brother made friends with Chloe and Gavin all those years ago, she considered them a little like younger siblings as well, as they always spent a lot of time at the Bishop household over the years.

“Me neither,” Chloe said, her blue eyes betraying her concern. “Now I can’t help but think that this can very well destroy my friendship with Gavin.”

Taylor put her fingers on her chin, a thoughtful look on her face. “Well, you don’t have to jump right into it,” She said. “You two can go on a few dates, spend some alone time and see if it works.”

“That’s where it gets complicated,” The redhead complained. “We’re not even an item yet and Gavin…, well, he already…”

The older brunette sighed. “What did Gavin do, Chloe?” She asked before her eyes narrowed. “He didn’t get all pervert on you, did he?”

“No,” Chloe quickly answered. “Well, not exactly.”

Taylor raised an eyebrow. “Not exactly? Chloe, what did he do?” She pressed.

“He…., well, he…,”

“Chloe!”

“He ate me out and I loved it!” The redhead said in an incredibly fast manner that confused Taylor.

“Okay, I only got half of it, what did you love?” Taylor asked. “Slower this time.”

“Gavin,” Chloe began, looking up at the taller woman. “He performed oral sex on me and I loved it.”

“Wow,” Taylor said, surprised. “I didn’t expected that. You kids sure go fast these days.”

“You’re not that much older than us.” Chloe pointed out, quietly.

Taylor chuckled. “True,” She said, smiling at the younger girl. “Look, from what I know about Gavin, he probably felt so scared of talking to you about his feelings that the only thing he could think of doing was show you how he felt through his actions.”

“You think so?”

“Of course, Chloe!” Taylor replied. “You two have to talk it out, the poor guy can even be thinking you didn’t enjoy it.”

“I haven’t considered that.” Chloe said softly, with a thoughtful expression.

At that moment, Zack walked over to them, looking a bit grumpy. Chloe raised an eyebrow at him. “What’s wrong?”

“Vicky still didn’t leave Dustin’s side.” He replied.

Taylor looked around and frowned. “Yeah, seems like she’s still there.”

“Well, I’ll go bug Gavin for a while,” Chloe said, yawning. “Try to cheer up, mister, we’re at a party.”

Zack half-smiled. “Thanks, Chloe, will do.”

“Anytime.” The redhead returned her best friend’s smile before waving to the Bishop siblings.

Zack and Taylor observed her walking away in Gavin’s direction before she turned to him. “So, Heather, huh?”

Zack looked at his sister weirdly. “What about her?”

“Now, don’t play stupid,” Taylor said teasingly. “She’s the other girl you said you liked.”

“How do you know that?” Zack asked with a frown. “I haven’t said anything.”

“Duh! I have eyes, in the case you haven’t noticed,” Taylor replied. “You two were staring at each other with googly eyes this afternoon, and tonight as well whenever you stopped looking at Victoria like an obsessed man.”

“You’re saying I’m obsessed with Victoria, is that it?” Zack asked with a hint of anger on his voice.

“You tell me, I’m not a mind reader,” Taylor retorted. “What I do know is that you’re not fulfilling our agreement that said you were supposed to have more fun, you just stared at Victoria all night!”

“It’s too much complicated, Tay.” Zack complained. “Look, Vicky and I did something sexual yesterday which I’m not telling you.”

“So you’re saying that your relationship with Victoria is just sexual?” Taylor asked. “It’s okay if it is, Zack, most crushes are just sexual attraction.”

“I don’t know!” Zack exclaimed, breaking their hushed conversation. “Gahh!”

He couldn’t take all the questioning anymore and stormed towards the other boys. They probably wouldn’t get on his case like Taylor was doing.

Meanwhile, beside the table with the drinks, Heather was beginning to get very frustrated. Even after she spent almost two hours choosing one of her sexiest outfits so she could have Zack’s eyes on her the entire night and maybe finally getting him to bed, said eyes didn’t leave Victoria and Dustin.

She looked at him, talking to Kurt, Brandon and Peter, upset by the fact that Victoria chatted with Dustin all night and haven’t paid an ounce of attention to him. The cheerleading captain started getting angry with herself for all the pining she was doing for him. She wasn’t the type to run after boys, they were the ones who always had to run after her.

Heather knew she wasn’t inadequate in the slightest, she had everything Victoria had and more. ”Maybe he believes the things that the boys at school say about me and thinks I’m only toying with him,” She theorized. ”Or maybe he really loves Vicky, and in that case I can’t do nothing about,” She cocked her head to the side. ”Maybe he prefers blondes, but hell will freeze over before I dye my hair.”

Tired of all that nonsense, Heather decided she was going to help him get Victoria, for once and for all. ”If it’s her who he wants, then it’s her he’ll get.” She thought, marching over to Zack and taking a hold of his arm.

“Geez, Heather,” Zack said as the blue-eyed brunette started dragging him to the couches. “What’s going on?”

“I’m fucking tired of watching you brood over Victoria all night,” She hissed at him. “So we’re gonna break up her little chat with Dustin.”

Victoria smiled at the story Dustin was telling her about the time they were apart. The blonde was genuinely happy about seeing her ex-boyfriend again, but she desperately wanted to get up and stretch her legs for a bit. ”And spend some time with Zack.” She added, the true reason why she agreed to come to this party.

However, before she could go after him, Zack came to her and plopped down beside her on the couch, Heather doing same on his other side.

“Hey, Dustin,” Heather greeted him. “Long time no see!”

“Well, yeah, Heather,” Dustin raised an eyebrow. “How are you?”

“Just fine.” The brunette waved him off.

“Dustin,” Zack cleared his throat and extended his hand to the other guy. “Nice to see you again, man.”

“Likewise, Zachary.” Dustin shook Zack’s hand with a little smile.

“So, you two have been sitting here for an awfully long time, huh?” Heather inquired.

“Uhn, we were talking about the past?” Victoria blurted out, suddenly afraid that Zack was getting the wrong idea about her and Dustin.

“Oh, the past’s important,” Heather nodded with a sarcastic smile. “Not so much like the present or the future, but, well.”

Victoria narrowed her eyes at her friend, Heather was really coming through as jealous to her. She opened her mouth to fire a clever reply, but at that exact moment, the lights dimmed, giving the room a nightclub look.

“Alright, my fellow friends!” Hannah yelled from near the TV. “The real party starts now!”

That said, a loud music filled the air. Zack looked at Victoria and then at Heather with a confused look on his face. ”Are we expected to dance?” He asked himself.

What happens on the dancefloor?
