The next day

Spencer dropped Amy off, hoping she couldn't sense his unease. Back home, his mind wrestled with how the new relationship will play into his life. He knew that eventually both worlds would crash into each other, and he had to do his best to prepare. As much as he hated the idea of sidelining Jessica, he figured after a week, yesterday's incident will be completely forgotten and Amy's teenage angst will have found another target.

After lunch, he receives a text from Jessica.

'hey Spence. Was just wondering if you have any plans for the weekend?'

'not really do you?'

Jessica replies with an image of a woman wearing a humongous strap-on black dildo. Spencer refrained from replying, not sure how serious Jessica was.

'kidding. how about some drinks at McClaren's tonight?'

Spencer looked at the question on screen, unsure exactly how he should answer. Although he didn't want to push Jessica to the side, he knew that Amy wouldn't take long to figure out what is going on, especially when the small town rumors start spreading like they always do. She sent a '?' which sprung his fingers into action.

'sure'

'Perfect cant wait to see you again'

'nor can I'

When it comes time, he pulled up in front of Carter JHS, where he asked Amy the question that had been pounding in his mind all day "How was your day?" "Pretty good."

"Good to hear."

Spencer sighed with relief that his paranoia was unfounded. Just like he'd thought, yesterday was just some teenage drama that'd blow over. "Listen sweetie, some friends have invited me out for drinks tonight after dinner."

"Okay, well don't stay up too late. I do have school tomorrow."

"Yes mother."

For once Amy gave Spencer's dad humor a chuckle. Spencer turned his mind to his date with Jessica, wondering what she has planned for him.
