The next Sunday...

The rest of the weekend goes uneventfully. On Saturday you and Alice go shopping for the week, spend some time at the mall, and go to the mobile store to buy a new smartwatch. You have dinner with some of Alice's friends, and go home for Alice to prepare for her work week. Alice goes to bed early Saturday night as she usually does, leaving you to play around on the computer before bed.

Alice works Sundays through Wednesdays as a nurse at a local hospital, so Saturday is your shared day off to spend with her, you have Sunday basically to yourself, and Alice does weekly errands and chores on Thursdays and Fridays. You hardly get to see her Monday through Wednesday, because she gets home late, usually comes home exhausted, and has to be up early.

Home alone on Sunday, you finish the paperwork sent to you by your boss and email it back. You decide to greet Alice when she gets home from work with a good meal after Friday's botched attempt to do something romantic and spontaneous, so you start a roast in the slow cooker. Left with nothing else to do for the day but spend time for yourself, you begin to wonder about Friday.

Alice definitely reacted strangely after you caught her with the porn. You push it out of your mind for the afternoon, and spend some time exercising and cleaning the apartment before sitting down at your computer to play some games. You check on the roast occasionally, and bide your time until Alice comes home. At about seven you hear the door open, and look outside the office to see Alice setting her keys and purse down.

"Hey baby," you call out, "I'm in the office. I put a roast on for us tonight."

"Great, I'm starving. I'm showering first," she says, already headed to the bedroom. She stops at the office door to kiss you first, then walks in the bedroom and begins to strip. She tells you about her day in nursing lingo you have yet to fully wrap your head around, but from what you can gather, it wasn't a good day. She continues telling you about it as she walks past you naked into the bathroom, and cuts herself off as the shower starts running.

You wonder if talking to Alice tonight about Friday is such a good idea, after the day she's had. You take the roast out of the slow cooker and set it on the table, and get the red wine out of the fridge, while she showers. She gets out of the shower, goes into the bedroom to finish up, and comes out wearing {if Liberty=1}just her robe{else}her usual tank top and shorts{endif}. She sits at the table, and says, "thank you baby, that looks really good".

"You're welcome," you say, "love you".

"Love you too," she responds, leaning forward to give you a quick kiss. The two of you eat, and that she gets herself seconds and then some makes you wonder if she actually had to skip lunch today, or if she just really likes the roast. Alice has a second, then a third, glass of wine, and you can tell midway into the third Alice is feeling comfortable and happy. You decide, now might be the time to bring up Friday.

"So..." you say. Alice looks at you, and asks, "what, baby?"

You swallow. "About Friday..."
