The new status

A cold finger of fear ran down your spine. The kitchen looked the same, the morning rays of sunlight felt warm on your body. You abruptly seized your left cheek with your left thumb and forefinger. Pinched hard. Your eyes watered, but nothing changed. This wasn’t a vision, this was the real, waking world. And Lilith was sitting there, relaxed and corporeal.

“How are you here?” You croaked.

A cold smile danced across her features. “Watch this,” there was a strange rippling that ran across the She-Devil’s body as flesh began to move and reposition itself, skin and hair lightened, and within a few moments it was the bimbo sitting across from him. “This lovely lady has made for a wonderful host, a fine flesh suit to wear.”

“You…you could do this the whole time?”

The bimbo girl’s face rippled and returned to Lilith’s typical visage. “No, but in that little moment of desperation you put an extra amount of your energy into the ring. I was able to reach out and grab this morsel of tits and ass.”

A thousand horrible possibilities ran through your mind. If Lilith was free, what would that mean for you, or the town, or the world at large…

Seeing your dismay, she rolled her eyes. “Not to worry, I’m still limited in this form. If I use too much of my power it’ll destroy this vessel and I’ll return to the ring.”

“Then why come out?”

“Because you’ve been handling things woefully and I think it’s time for my direct involvement,” she tutted in disapproval. “You almost let that brainwashed slut kill you. Poor form, very poor form.”

The dull ache of your head wound returned, but you did your best to ignore it. Something told you that showing any more vulnerability to this creature would be a very bad idea.

“I saw an innocent person in trouble,” you replied, “I had to try.”

“Silly human moralism.” She leaned forward, and peered so deeply into you that you felt exposed on a cellular level. “Discard it, unleash the power that lies within you. Make your enemies tremble with fear.”

You considered, trying to keep your composure. “How do you suggest I do that?”

A malevolent smile spread across her lips, revealing fangs, “Target this man Halbert, break him….” Her eyes fell on Maddy’s **** form, “you have his weakness right there.”
