What's next?
The natural way
You took a deep breath as you recognized you were acting against your own best interest. You leaned forward, your hands clasped shut together
"I could make the potion, but I refuse." Your tone and mannerisms were clear and direct, but also calm, making a point to show no ill will or judgement "I also owe you a confession, of sorts. I already made a love potion, to be given to you. Malay is afraid that you don't care for her and don't desire her intimately, and you are afraid that you are unable to satisfy her." A small smirk cracked through on your face "Neither of you need my help, at least as far as potions are concerned. What you need is to start talking to each other. If you both really feel for each other as much as you want me to believe, than should be an easy task."
Jalen's eyes grew large hearing these words, and sat quietly as he processed the information. "I don't know how I feel about her trying to cloud my mind like that."
"Imagine how she would feel upon discovery of your plans" You retorted as pressed your hands into your thighs, close to your hips. "Are you no more deceitful?"
"But, it would be for her own benefit" Jalen seemed to implicitly recognize his own argument was feeble, from how quietly he spoke."
You let out a small laugh "So much for the wisdom of my elvish cousins. It's disappointing that you don't realize how easily your phrase can be turned around."
The wizard was about to speak, before you interjected ahead of him "My say on this is final, Jalen. I'm not the one you need to speak to. You'll both thank for me for this later" No sooner had you left the room, did you find your prior customer, hovering nervously outside the door. You untied your coin purse from your side and held it in the palm of your hand "It would seem the potion is unnecessary. The elf shares your feelings, as I suspected. Let me have that potion back, and you can take back your gold" Despite your practiced cool character, you began to question your own actions inside. You would normally never be the one to voluntarily give money back or provide a refund. Your customer declined the offer, pushing your hand back down to your side.
"Keep it, you earned that money." Malay said as she moved past you, sitting across from Jaren, where you had been sitting.
"So" Malay began "I guess we both have somethings to talk about."
"Indeed" The elf smiled "That is quite understated."
"Things have gotten dangerous in the past, but never this close, and I think with that, we need to be honest with each other"
"Agreed" Jaren replied, nodding again. "We've learned the hard lesson that we can't really wait until the right moment."
"Well," Malay's nervousness was curious to watch, so opposite of her strong demeanor "I've had feelings for you for a long time now. You've always been quick to my defense when someone tries to call me stupid, or insult me for my Orc blood. In alot of the places we go, I'm the first Orc people have seen in a long time, or maybe ever, and all they know is what they had heard from the legends and horror stories of the war, generations ago. Since I've been with you and the others, you're the one who has always helped make me feel...safe, I guess."
"Well, I can certainly forgive you for not admitting to your feelings." Jaren smiled faintly as he responded. "I had them since the first time I saw you. I can't explain it, and I've stopped trying, but you're the most beautiful, attractive woman I've ever met. It's strange, we've warded off bandits, gone into dangerous caverns, faced off against horrid monsters, but I never had the courage to say anything." A small single, quiet laugh passed his lips "It's ironic if you really think about. The notion that the fear of rejection could be stronger than the fear of death."
"It's not that strange" Malay smiled as she brushed Jalen's cheek "And in the end, it looks like we had nothing to fear after all"
The strong orc woman leaned forward to give a kiss, and it was at that moment that you thought it best for you to leave. The two were connecting well without you, and by appearances, were about to get much more intimately connected. You lingered by the door as you closed it behind you, and could quickly hear audible moans coming from the room.
Curiosity had gotten the better of you, and you slowly opened the door back open, just enough for you to peek inside. The scene before you was certainly a sight to see. Malay, the orc woman, had her lips passionately wrapped around the cock of her elven lover. Through his lustful moans, his eyes opened for a moment to see you through the door. He was quiet, and non judgmental. With a spare hand, he gingerly motioned for you to come back in.
