Chapter 18 by CamBlay
Do they keep going or decide to head back?
The island once again
It was Gavin's turn to doze as the three of them sat once more against the tree, taking shelter not from the rain but the sun. It was late enough in the day for it to be at its zenith, bringing the temperature up dramatically, and the shade of the tree was a requirement to keep themselves cool. Their hunger, if not satiated wholly was at least semi-satisfied, while the **** from earlier still whizzed through their systems. It was only a buzz now, enough to knock out Gavin whilst Zack and Heather stayed awake only due to having already slept, in the former's case, and experience with ****, in the latter's case.
"It is beautiful here," Zack murmured. The lake, defying it's name, was a deep azure, and was so calm and still he imagined he could step onto it like Jesus and walk back to the cabin. Particulates of pollen drifted on the breeze, catching the sun only occasionally and adopting its golden glow, before vanishing into the reeds or into the deep green leaves of the branches that swayed in that same gentle wind, its caress on Zack's skin reminding him of when Lisa would trace her fingers up his arms. The memory made him stiffen slightly. Something about that moment, the summer haze, the thickness of the air, reminded him of every time in his life he'd ever been aroused, the seconds before every one of his sexual encounters began in earnest. He looked to his two companions, wondering if they felt the same intangible magic that he did.
Gavin, to his left, snored.
Heather, to his right, rolled her eyes. "What a cliched thing to say."
She'd seemed agitated since he'd found her standing over Gavin, smirking at his prone form. Not angry, more like there was an itch she had yet to scratch that wouldn't stop bothering her. She met his gaze with sardonic eyes, mocking him for having said something so generic. He conceded the point, gazing back across the lake. She shifted in her seat, and he looked back at her, this time to an expression that said look away, this is my own business.
Baffled by her expression he looked away again, but kept his ears attentively fixed in her direction. There was a pause where neither of them moved, the soundscape filled only by the gentle lapping of the lake, the singing of the birds, the chirping of insects, before he heard her shift again. Then again soon after. And again, becoming a definite rhythm, until the sounds of deep sensual breaths, though she was definitely trying to stifle them, could be heard.
"I dreamed about you," Zack said. All noises from her stopped.
"Oh yeah?" she asked, a pleading, **** edge to her voice.
"You were a surgeon."
She laughed. "Did I make you better?" He looked at her, glancing between her legs. A root emerged from under her crotch. She'd noticed the glance, and met his gaze with a confident admission that yes, she had been doing what he thought.
"Not really. I was bleeding from the head, but you just sucked my dick."
Her breathing was heavy again. "Figures. When do I get to get off?"
"I fucked you later."
"How generous of you." She paused, exasperated. "I don't quite know where you're going with this Zack. Why don't you go for a walk, and leave me to myself." Who knew the geek could be so forward?
"Did Gavin leave you unsatisfied?"
"Yes," she confessed after a pause.
"I could help with that."
She laughed. "I don't believe either of you could. And I don't think it's a good idea."
"Whether or not it was a good idea didn't stop you from... let me guess, blowjob?"
"I was drunk," Heather said coldly. "And now that I'm sober, I regret it, okay?"
"Why?"
"Why?" Heather scoffed. "That's Westher's first experience right? A shy nerd falling in love with the beautiful cheer-captain who gives him his first blowjob? Stranger things have happened."
"You certainly have a high opinion of yourself," Zack said dryly. "Didn't you make it clear it was to be no strings attached?"
"Making things clear doesn't always stop them from catching feelings. I know that."
"You know that. You haven't torn yourself in two worrying about those other hapless boys."
"I don't want to hurt Gavin."
Zack looked at her in shock, surprised to hear such tender words.
"The damage is done," he said simply. She didn't reply, too busy mulling over the repercussions of his words. "Why not me then?"
Heather sighed, a small smile forming on her lips. "I have an inkling that I might not be the one you want."
Zack was utterly taken aback. "What do you mean?"
"Just that," she replied, smirking at having turned the tables back on him. "I think there's someone else you want, for something more than a brief fling. I don't want to get in the way of that."
Zack couldn't believe how perceptive she was. "That doesn't mean I can't have fun."
She laughed. "You're not that type of guy Zacky."
"I can be. I can make a friend feel good when she needs to."
"A friend," she purred. "You're certainly persistent." She looked deep in thought, an expression that didn't change even as Gavin woke with a start behind Zack, letting out a surprised exclamation at being so suddenly thrust into wakefulness. Zack turned away from Heather with a sigh, placing his back to the tree again and looking at Gavin to ask how his sleep was.
