"Excuse me, Mr Proten," Mǎ Fáng said, acting sincerely and cautiously, clearly having earned the man's enmity for his act of betrayal to one of his lovers, and, in Proten's eyes, holding the three women. Still, Mǎ Fáng did not back down as he said: "I want to make you an offer."
"What offer?" Proten said.
"A bet. A simple bet. One where, if I make you blink, you make me an Inner Disciple." Mǎ Fáng was so confident in his words that it enticed Proten, who made his own demand.
"Fine, but if I win, I get to slap your face, you leave the three women, and you get the fuck out of my face." Proten remained calm, but his veins and red face showed clearly as he spoke to Mǎ Fáng, thinking that Mǎ Fáng was far too cocky for a brat.
Mǎ Fáng agreed of course, he was one to put everything on the line when he was having too much fun, just like with Fěicuì Xīng, and Proten knew it, hence why he even entertained Mǎ Fáng in the first place, despite being Divine Tribulations grand elder.
