The hazards of driving with family

Mich got down to the garage to find his sister already in his truck. He used the step to climb up into the cab. The truck was overall built to accommodate Amazon size and his sister had even able to simply jump into the cab.

With a quick twist of the key the reliable engine rumbles to life and with the door up they pull out and head to their high school for the last time.

“So Mich, you nervous? I honestly can’t wait for my summer training camp to start. Sense says if I really apply myself I can be ready for the mid summer tournament. If I can finish in the top three I’ll get a slot at the state level!”

Keeping his eyes on the road “when you win state do you think you’ll get sponsors? I know you have been wanting to go pro.”

Ellen taps him on the shoulder, a tap from an Amazon pack the same energy as a light punch from a man. “Don’t jink it. I know you men can twist fate and the universe but we weak women are at its mercy.”

“Weak? Sis, you lifted the front of this truck when that cheap Jack collapsed.”

“You know what I mean!”

“Ow hey, don’t hit the driver, you want to wreck this thing. Knock it of.” Mich created a telekinetic barrier to shield himself from his sister pokes and light slaps.

The two siblings contacted in a lighthearted manner for the rest of the ten-minute drive until they reached the school. Mich found a parking space and his sister was out of the cab before he had the vehicle fully in park. He shook his head as she ran over to her friend group to find her spot in the line of graduates. With the truck turned of he hopped out and hit the lock button. The set of at a more measured pace in the late spring morning to find his own friends and get in line as well.
