The group watches a movie

After Zack went up to the cabin to rest, the rest of the group decided that it wasn’t right to do anything major without him. They held off making serious plans until they were sure he was in on them.

“Well, what should we do if we aren’t going anywhere?” Ashely asked.

“It’s almost lunch time. We could grill up some hamburgers and hot dogs,” Kurt said, doing an excellent version of Pavlov’s dog in the process.

“And after lunch? What does everyone want to do?” Heather asked, continuing the hostess routine.

“I brought a couple of bootleg DVDs we could watch,” Brandon suggested.

“I don’t know. I don’t want to wake Zack up and have him miserable for the rest of the night,” Chloe stated.

“Won’t bother him at all!” Heather exclaimed, “The flatscreen is on a swivel, and there are speakers on the deck. Just have to turn the TV towards the window and switch the audio cables and we are good to go. He won’t hear a thing.”

“Unless we play a horror movie and Brandon starts screaming like a girl again,” Ashley teased her boyfriend. Brandon stuck his tongue out at the love of his life and pulled her in for a kiss.

“I can’t stand being in a wet suit, so I’m going to change before I start the grill. Heather, you and Kurt know how the TV and speakers are set up, so you two can fix that. Everyone else can pick a movie to watch,” Brandon commanded, which got a mock salute from his girlfriend and Victoria.

“So what are we going to watch? I don’t know what my better half brought, but I can guarantee that at least half of them are football movies,” Ashley rolled her eyes.

“How about something with Ben Af…” Victoria started to say but her best friend cut her off.

“DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT saying his name! We’ve seen every one of his films. Some of them twelve times! I can’t stand that guy. His movies are forbidden at this cabin!” Ashley fumed.

Victoria sulked. Kurt laughed at the exchange. Gavin rubbed Victoria’s shoulder.
“What’s a matter Ashley? Not a big fan of Ben Af…” Kurt asked before he two was cut off.

“DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT saying his name! We’ve seen every one of his films. Some of them twelve times! I can’t stand that guy. His movies are forbidden at this cabin!” She repeated herself verbatim.

Kurt flashed Gavin and Victoria a goofy face and then went inside to help his cousin set up the TV. The other three set up chairs for the group. Gavin carried over a small lovers’ bench for Ashley and Brandon to sit on.
