The front door opens

A ding rang through the diner, signifying the front door opening.

"Shit," Lucy cursed to herself. Maybe it was Kate or Cassy, or perhaps it was just the wind.

Lucy carefully peeked around the corner, water dripping from her hair. She whipped her head back around as soon as she could see. It was Vivian in her zoo employee uniform. God knows what she was doing here, but she was the absolute last person Lucy wanted to encounter right now.

The redheaded mischief-maker was always looking for a way to embarrass Lucy. And after Lucy's payback at graduation, she couldn't imagine what Vivian would do if she found her...

"Hello?" Vivian called from the sitting room. "Is there anyone here?"

Lucy mulled over ideas, "What should I do? I can't go out there, but I can't tell her we're closed either, or she'll know I'm here..."

Putting a stop to her decision, Vivian spoke again, "I don't see anyone around... I wonder if someone is in the back?" Footsteps quickly approached the back.

Lucy was in a mad panic, "Oh shit, what do I do?" Her eyes darted around the room, frantic for a place to hide. But there was no place in sight. "Oh, fuck it." Lucy didn't want to go back into the rain, but it was sure as hell better than getting caught by Vivian. Lucy dashed out the side door and back into the pouring rain.

Vivian entered the kitchen. "Odd, I could swear I heard a door close." Vivian looked around the empty room. She gave up on the thought as her shoe squeaked on the floor. Looking down, she noticed a puddle of water by the wall with wet footsteps trailing to the side door.

"So someone doesn't want me to find them, eh?" Vivian smirked. "I'm game."

Just what had Lucy gotten herself into? And where had Kate and Cassy gone?
