Do you remember who you were?
The exploding laboratory doesn't help your amnesia
You gaze at her lovely face so close to yours, the name she spoke did resonate with you, it was indeed familiar. You are about to reply when a large shard of brass suddenly flies past the side of her head.
"It's too dangerous here, come on!" she yells as the laboratory continues to disintegrate around you both. She helps you clamber to you feet and you clumsily follow her, staying low to avoid inhaling the fumes from the black smoke produced by the flames around you. She leads you a nearby exit and you escape away from that hellish place through a heavy door which you close behind you sealing the flames from you.
Lynn leans against the door "That should keep us safe, the door will be magically reinforced to stop the flames getting through, otherwise heroes could just burn down every door they meet to avoid the whole key fetching/lockpicking exercises."
You look at her in wonder, uncertain of what she's talking about. She returns your look and raises an eyebrow "It's not just your appearance that's changed is it."
She pauses awaiting your answer but you don't have one to give as you struggle to form coherent thoughts in your new brain
"Riiiiiiiight, ok come on, let's check on the others and see if Annie is still alive" suggests Lynn before she casts a spell creating a ball of light and leads you into the darkness.
Is Annie still alive?
You come into being as a low-level monster, the kind heroes chew through like popcorn. You know the drill, whether you're a player yourself or an artificial intelligence, and you're sick of it. You set out on your own quest: to defeat the heroes at any cost (or at least be an epic boss somewhere down the line).
