The door opens.

Almost soundlessly, the door creeps open. Just an inch at first. Jade can see someone looking out from the shadows, but its too dark to make out any details.

Jade steps closer, hoping to shield anyone behind her from view, "Do you have any water?" Jade asks softly, glancing over her shoulder, but not seeing anyone still, "Or maybe a corner I can curl up in for a little while and get some rest?"

"Go away," The girl inside hisses.

Jade quickly leans into the door before the girl can close it again, not forcing her way in, but holding the door open so the other girl can't close it fully, "Please? Just for a few minutes?"

From further in the room, a second voice calls out, "Shuri, we have to-"

"No we dont!" The first voice, Shuri, replies almost angrily.

"What is wrong with you?" The second, softer voice says in disbelief.

There's the sound of hushed voices as the two girls talk between themselves, then the door finally opens.

Jade looks over her shoulder once more, a blur of motion causing her eyes to widen in surprise when one man grabs her around the middle, picking her up like she weighs nothing as the rest of the men rush past her into the safe house.

She can see the other two girls. A black girl and an oriental girl, both looking startled at the sudden intrusion. The black girl looks mostly angry as she tries to reach for something that could be used as a weapon. Two men tackle her to the ground before she can find anything. In contrast, the oriental girl seems to freeze up, her eyes flickering between the exit and the closest man to her as he advances towards her.
