The demon king

Zelda watched helplessly as the iron door swung open, and in stepped Ganondorf. The demon king was so tall that he had to duck his head under the door frame, the cell itself was barely large enough to contain him. Zelda put on a brave face as the evil man stepped into her cell, but in her heart she knew she was terrified.

Ganondorf smiled as he looked down at the chained princess. “How does it feel to be chained in your own dungeon princess?”

Zelda held her tongue.

Ganondorf chuckled, “So tell me, what hope do you have now that your kingdom has been conquered? If you have any hope of escape, then I can assure you, you’re fooling yourself. You will die on the steps of your own castle before you ever escape my grasp.”

Zelda could the familiar fire of evil in the demon king’s eyes. Even after thousands of years and countless lifetimes, he was still the same cruel man. Zelda rallied the courage she still had and she spoke. “He will stop you, the hero, he always does.”

For the first time since he had entered, ganondorf frowned. “No, I don’t think so.” He held up the back of his left hand to the princess, and a small triangle began to burn brightly on his skin. “It matters not if that child bears the triforce of courage. He is still weak, barely old enough to be a man.”

He lunged his hand forward and grabbed Zelda’s face underneath her chin, she could feel his rough fingers pressing painfully against her jaw. “I know for a fact that he will eventually come for you, and that makes you a valuable tool.” Terror seized Zelda’s heart as she saw the look in his eyes. “For your sake princess, I hope you take well to humiliation.”
