The dangerous cave

"This is such a dumb idea, why am I doing this?" I think to myself as I continue to walk toward the coordinates of the cave that's located within the mountain that's near this town. I'm walking quite a bit through this forest and I say "Uh... Mom is gonna kill me if I return late, is this even worth..." But before I could finish my sentence, there it was. I see the cave entrance.

I use the magic lantern that I bought in a shop before coming here (yes, in this world magic also works somewhat similar to electricity and you can store it in small magic gems that have limited time usage). I also bought some rope and a hook and I also brought my sword that I had in my house.

As I enter the cave, the magic lantern illuminates enough for me to see in all this darkness, I have my left hand holding the grip of my sword since I don't know what could be inside of this. I continue walking deeper thinking to myself "Nate why are you doing this? I could get arrested for just being here on my own." I continue to walk for a bit till I see a dead end, the cave path just took me to a lake inside of the cave.

I look at this lake and I think "Great, there's nothing here, not a single purple gem, just water..." I look down thinking to myself "Did that man make a mistake? Did he just leave?" I then try to turn around so I can leave, I really feel defeated, but then destiny has other plans, as my foot slips with one of the round stones and I say. "This is bullsh- AAAAAH!" And I fall back into the water.

I open my eyes and quickly grab my magic lantern trying to not let it go, but as I'm sinking deeper into this lake, I see some kind of light glowing, I swim as fast as I can for dear life until I go inside of a tunnel deep into the lake. And when I go to the end of that tunnel, I reach an area even deeper into the cave, almost like another cave below this lake. I then swim till I can emerge out of the water.

I then get out of the water and take a deep breath as I also cough some of the water "Augh! Fuck!" I have my eyes closed, but when I finish coughing, I see something that I can't believe I'm seeing in front of my eyes. A giant purple crystal. I say to myself. "I... I found it."
