Strange? What sort of strange?
The curse evolves...
You furrowed your brow and put your hand on Naomi's shoulder. "What's wrong?"
She shook her head, and sat up further, rubbing her head. Eventually, she climbed out of bed, and did the same as you, finding some pants and a tank top to slip on that barely contained anything at all, the clothes hugged her extremely tightly. "It's... hard to say. Something kind of fuzzy, in my head. And my arm."
"You're the medical expert, what do you think we should do? Do you need an ice pack, water? I can get you something if--"
Naomi put her hand on your shoulder, holding her forehead with the other as she looked at you with an appreciative smile. "Good ol' Pete, always looking out for me." She tugged you into a quick kiss, before letting you go. "I think maybe I need some fresh air. I'd go for a run but this feels, uhh..."
You waited for Naomi to finish her sentence, but eventually she just walked off, clenching her fist shut tight. What in the world was going on?
Naomi opened the door to the backyard, stepping out into the grass, scrunching it between the toes of her bare feet that now outsized yours by a clear margin. She rolled her shoulders, taking a step or two forward, until she stops, looking toward the house. She opens her hand, and there's a clear eruption of purple energy in her palm..! Her eyes turn glassy, as she approaches what you finally see to be a stunned bird on the ground, it looked like it hit a window and now was in a **** position for outside creatures like the neighbor's cat that Sabel always stares at from the window.
She touches it, and her hair immediately changes to a bright yellow, as she shook out her head. She glanced around, still clearly a massive and muscly woman, as she looks over to you. "Hey, did you see another bird around here?" Naomi asked to you, still looking rather confused. "It, uh... I swear I saw one, and I had to fend it off, and then..."
Naomi sat on the ground, sprawling her arms back as she blinked heavily. "Head rush, whoa..." she remarked to herself.
"Naomi, what did you do? Did you channel? That shouldn't be possible!"
Blinking again, Naomi looked back at you. "...Pete. Yes, you're Pete. I've seen you from higher up. You made the little house I borrow, thank you. But... yes. I am channeling Naomi."
You shook your head, kneeling down to look into Naomi's eyes as you brush some hair from her face. "That shouldn't be possible, at all."
"I agree! I'm looking in her mind, but it's like... there's a loud voice, and a quiet voice. The loud voice hasn't done this before, the quiet one does this all the time. ...Tori is the quiet one." Naomi smiled at you, and then stood up again. "I think I shouldn't stay long. I just needed to get somewhere safe. You make a good box. ...But watch out for that other bird around here, okay? He looks dangerous."
Naomi walked over to the birdhouse you'd set up on a branch of one of the apple trees that came with the property, holding her hand up to the little opening before another purple flash flowed through her hand. When it vanished, you saw a normal Naomi looking right at a little yellow warbler whose head poked out of the birdhouse entrance, still stunned from impact but in a safer place.
Naomi blinked, and turned to you. "I... did I just..." Her voice cracked, as she crossed her arms, holding them to her tightly. "Something's wrong. The magic, it shouldn't have done this! Tori was never able to channel another creature while mid-channeling! How can that even work?"
"I don't know how for sure, but you've been a part of her for so long, the magic might just think that you're a part of her for good now. Can Tori channel you out?" You tried to speak calmly, but you could sense the panic in Naomi and tried hard to not feel the same way.
Naomi held out a hand, her palm glowing blue--but nothing came out. According to the magic, there was no Naomi and Tori as singular beings anymore. The girl before you--that was now one person. And she looked like she was about to faint!
What can you and Naomi do about this new situation?

Channelers
Unlike a possession, the bodies of channelers are taken over by other beings, and controlled to do all sorts of things...
An ancient curse on a selfish person had propagated through their family to the modern era, with no known means to break it. The curse is simple: if any creature or person has a need that the cursed subject can somehow help, they are to loan their body to the being in need until said needs are met, for up to a full day. This could range from rescuing a bird's eggs from a predator to an elderly person who needs an able body to go to the grocery store. No need is too big or too small, if the channeler senses the need from another nearby, they are compelled to loan their forms. Combined with other beings, the channeler's features alter to represent their controller: altered hair, altered faces, changes to a body type, gaining extra features like new ears or a tail, a channeler always resembles their original self but certainly can look quite unique with each new channeling session. Of course, this has other complications: the channeler may still 'fill in the blanks' in being human and maintain certain attributes like attraction to a partner, but the being in need, the controller, is the one in charge during that period. And they may behave completely differently when channeling! Will relationships be able to withstand a body that seems to constantly have a new personality every day, when a channeler might not even remember what happened? Will new relationships form with a specific channeled form, creating new complications? Or can others take advantage of the curse to get all sorts of unique, sexy encounters with new forms each time?
