The bigger cave

You cross the river, avoiding getting anything but your feet wet, and head for the cave entrance. You will need to let your shoes dry overnight, but at least those are the only things.

Although it looked large from the outside, the cave is not actually very deep. It will do for tonight, but it won't work as a permanent home.

It's the best you have, though, so you settle down, and go to sleep.

You open your eyes to see that an Arachne stands over you.

"Did you really think that you could escape, ****?"

You try to move, but she's bound you to the ground.

You watch fearfully as her enormous ovipositor extends behind her. She steps forward, lining you up. The massive shaft moves back, and as it plunges into you, you..-

... wake with a gasp.

The fate of your village is getting to you.

Glancing out of the cave, you see that it is getting light. You will have to look for a new home, today, so you get up, knowing that the sooner you start, the better.

Some berries growing by the river provide a tasty, if small, breakfast, before you head out.
