Follow the river downstream

The riverbank is uneven, but you make steady progress. After a while, the trees start to thin out.

As you leave the woods, you stop and blink. A large field full of cows sits in front of you, and beyond it you can see a large barn with a house next to it. It's certainly a very nice farm, but you wonder who in their right minds would build a farm in the middle of nowhere. It wouldn't take much for a monster to get in.

You walk around the field, and as you near the buildings, you see someone exit the barn, locking the door securely behind her.

In terms of shape, she looks almost human, though her breasts are far bigger than could be accomplished without magic. Her movements are unnervingly smooth, but her colouring is the obvious sign of inhumanity. Her entire body, including her eyes and hair, is pure white.

You have no idea what she is.

She sees you looking, and waves cheerily. "Hello, stranger," she calls. "What brings you to my farm?"

You tell her what the Arachne did to your village, and how you escaped, and with every word, she looks more and more upset.

"That's so sad!" she cries after you finish. "Tell you what, before you arrived I was going to put on a pan of warm milk. Would you like some? I imagine you're thirsty after all that walking, and I got it fresh from the source this morning."
