Chapter 26 by Swigggity swoot Swigggity swoot

How does the Sarah's night end? What about Lucy?

The beginning of a new adventure

Lucy watched her aunt approach with a small box in hand. "Hi aunt Melissa!" The woman sat down across from Lucy and smiled sheepishly. "Hi Lucy, sorry for running late. The kids where a handful today." Lucy smiled knowingly. She'd babysat them before and knew all to well just how rambunctious the little boys could be. "That's alright. I made a friend while I was waiting. Even got a free lunch out of it." Melissa smiled at her niece. "That's wonderful. Did that top convince someone it was your birthday?" Sarah grinned and shook her head. "No, she bumped into me and we both fell. She offered lunch as an apology. But I don't thing the girls hurt my odds." Melissa grinned knowingly. "She huh? Did this clumsy girl offer anything else with lunch? Maybe a number, maybe an address?" Lucy chuckled. "A number and a nice view. I understand why wardrobe malfunctions are so popular with guys now." Melissa laughed at Lucy's joke before standing up. "Happy birthday Lucy. I'll order something real quick."

Melissa walked away and Lucy slid the box to her side of the table. Gently opening it she found a cute yellow top inside and oddly enough, a Paper Mache dove, neatly folded underneath it. Inspecting it she found nothing particularly off about it. She brushed it off and put it back into the box with the top. Her aunt returned with a tray. "Thank you for the top Aunt Melissa. It's really cute." "Not as cute as what you have right now but I thought it might fit your closet."

The two family members finished a pleasant, if unhealthy, lunch before bidding each other goodbye. Lucy would return home to put away her new top before going out clubbing with friends. She left the paper dove on her bed, giving it no mind.

All alone with a nearby closet?
