The bee keeper and Maclain farm families (Mearna, Fionn and Finola’s families)

Roarke is the former bee keeper of the village and husband to Gilda. For many years, Roarke has been taking care of the village’s apiary, which is located between the two farms. Thanks to the hard work of the bees, the farms have always produced a lot of food. The bees even fly as far as the orchard, fertilizing the flowers on the pear and apple trees. Finally, the honey produced by the bees is used by the mead brewer to produce alcoholic drinks for the village. As such, the profession of bee keeper is very integral to the village and the bee keeper always has a position among the elders.

Gilda is Roarke’s wife and also his sister. She was caught by him at a Samhain and, although recognizing her brother when he caught her, she felt it would be safe because she was due to start her period any day. Unbeknownst to her, she had an irregular period and ended up receiving his Samhain child and then also had to marry him. But life as her brother’s wife wasn’t so bad and 2 years later they had another child.
While her husband tended to the bees, making sure they were healthy, and harvested honey from them. She spent a lot of her time making candles from their wax as well as repairing his bee suit. Though these days, she and her husband have both retired.

Ronan is the current bee keeper. Due to his status as a Samhain child, he was motivated into one of the professions the elders usually have. Fortunately, Ronan quickly got interested in his father’s profession. A job that in the previous generation, no Samhain children were interested in. When Ronan started apprenticing, he quickly learned all he needed to know, almost like he had already known it before. Because of him, the village could expand their apiary from 30 hives to 40, resulting in more honey being produced. He also put effort into growing some flowers at his home, for the purpose of transporting them to the fields beyond the village and planting them there, just so the bees would have more places to gather nectar from. Finally, during winter, when it is best for the bees to be left alone, Ronan gather the white and black stones that are used for the necklaces in the Samhain event. He then chips them to the appropriate size and also chisels a letter in them.

Delia is Ronan’s wife and current bee keeper’s assistant. Delia uses to be Ronan’s next-door neighbor. Being 5 years younger than him, she often saw Ronan as more like an older brother. Someone to console her after her parents had a fight, or her boyfriend was mean to her. After a particularly nasty breakup, Delia was being comforted by Ronan again. Feeling so safe in his arms, she let her emotions take over and kissed him. Ronan, not want to reject her immediately after she got rejected, allowed her to kiss him for as long as she wanted. The next day it was very awkward between them, and Delia felt she should apologize. Yet, Ronan told her there was no need, for he never felt like she had wronged him. Still, the idea of having Ronan as a romantic partner was planted in Delia’s mind and some days later, when she was feeling down again, she asked him for another make out session. Which he agreed to. Eventually, them making out became a daily occurrence and when they understood they had become a couple, they finally had sex for their first time.

Mearna is the first and only child of Ronan and Delia. She is currently apprenticing as bee keeper, hoping to one day inherit the apiary from her father. She is quite intrigued by the little bees, their close communities and how they work so well together as a group.
Mearna is a nice girl who is always friendly to everyone, but she is neither blessed with appealing curves nor a cute face. Despite her friendly demeanor, she is also quite introverted and has a hard time talking to people. As a result of all these things, she has had a very hard time making friends as well as getting a boyfriend. The only one she is really close with is her cousin, Finola.
Due to Mearna’s difficulty of finding a boyfriend, Samhain is the one day in the year when she can actually get laid. The one day in the year when she can finally get a man tied to her so she can enjoy a penis every night. But so far any of her attempts to take a guy’s Samhain child have resulted in failure. As such, she is **** to keep her sexual frustrations in check with the help of a candle she keeps in high night stand.

Nuala is Roarke and Gilda’s second child. Nuala first apprenticed as a forager to harvest berries from the forest. She had friends and knew guys, but never really bonded with anyone in a romantic way. This changed when Maclain caught her at a Samhain. She had run into a trap and get herself caught. When Maclain found her, she thought he was going to take advantage of the situation and have her as an easy catch. Instead, he first helped her get loose and then told her to get a head start while he counts to 3. Nuala was quite intrigued by him after that. So instead of running away, she gave him a hug and counted to three herself. Then they fucked. After the sex they walked home together, and when Maclain got a second erection, they did it a second time. Sadly, she didn’t get his Samhain child, but she did finally have a man who she felt she could engage in romance with. After she got married to him, she gave up her job as forager and worked on her husband’s farm.

Maclain owns the second farm and besides producing a lot of wheat, like farmer Gavin, he also produces spinach and cabbages. Maclain is quite different from Gavin, as he has a much less insular character. Of course he would prefer it if his children choose to work on his farm. But if they prefer to work a different job, they are free to chase their own lives. This made it so Maclain has a much healthier bond with his children.

Jenna is the oldest daughter of farmer Maclain, who owns one of the two farms. With Jenna being a whole 9 years older than her siblings, it has always been very hard for her to have someone she could relate with. That changed when Keiryn started working on the farm. He was a friendly guy the same age as her, and she quickly bonded with him. Enough that she wanted to be his wife, but she also feared that her father would never permit her marrying a mere farmhand. That is when Jenna came up with the idea to have Keiryn impregnate her with a Samhain child. It was a risky thing to do, as it is always possible someone else catches her during Samhain. So, the lovers agreed to meet each other at the path. Jenna would follow the path and every time she heard an owl hoot, she would say “It sure is lonely on this path”. If Keiryn was nearby, he would then come out of hiding, so Jenna could stray from the path straight into his arms. The first time, Jenna didn’t succeed at getting pregnant. But the second time, she not only got his Samhain child. She ended up getting Keiryn’s Samhain twins. Providing twice the normal amount of Samhain children made Jena’s father very proud of her and he agreed her union with Keiryn was destined.

Keiryn is Arthek and Muirna’s oldest child and originally worked as a farmhand at farmer Maclain’s farm. There he met and became friends with the eldest daughter, Jenna. She very much appreciated his presence on the farm, as he was the only other person her age. Eventually they fell in love but were worried farmer Maclain would not approve his daughter’s union to Keiryn. So, they made a plan. On Samhain, Keiryn would stay close enough to the path that he could see a girl walking along. He would the mimic an owl. If the girl replied with “It sure is lonely on this path” that would mean the girl is Jenna. Then Keiryn could come out of hiding, Jenna would stray from the path straight into his arms, and they would try to have a Samhain child. The first time, they met successfully but Jenna didn’t get pregnant, so they had to try again the next year. The second time they tried, they were successful and Jenna was carrying Keiryn’s Samhain child. Now Jenna’s farther could no longer object.
But that is not the end, for later it was discovered that Jenna was carrying twins. This made it so Jenna and Keiryn produced 2 Samhain children at once. Making Maclain very proud of both his daughter and his son in law.

Alys & Allon are the twin children of Keiryn and Jenna. They were conceived in Jenna’s womb during Samhain, which means the souls of these kids have already lived once before and are now living an extra life. Both their parents and grandparents have high hopes for them.

Fionn is Nuala and Maclain’s second child and twin brother to Finola. Since Fionn is Maclain’s only son, that means he is going to inherit the farm. Due to this, his father has started teaching him about farming, even though Fionn was not yet at apprentice age. This is how Fionn had to help carry grain to the miller at an early age and could form a friendship with the miller’s youngest son, Kynan. When Fionn got into his teenage years, he started to notice having an attraction to girls, but only last year did he start noticing his twin, Finola, in the same way. He knows it is wrong and he should not be going for her. But his grandparents were siblings too and it worked out for them. All in all, Fionn relegates his affection for his twin sister as it just being his frustration of not having a girlfriend and catching a girl during Samhain should solve that.

Finola is Nuala and Maclain’s third child and twin sister to Fionn. Finola has had a lot of fun growing up on the farm. She had large fields to run around and much enjoyed helping her parents pull cabbages from the ground. She is a pretty girl and many people want to be her friends, but Finola prefers to keep people at a distance. All those people are friendly to her, sure, and want to be her friends, but she doesn’t see them as such. She sees them as acquaintances. The only person she sees as a true friend is Mearna, her cousin.
