The adventure begins

Welp, here you are. In an unfamilliar world sent by 2 goddesses (or demons? You weren’t sure). To be as evil as possible. The problem was: of course that you weren’t entirely evil. Sure you have some fantasies but you never imagined actually acting them out in real life (or isekai life in this case). At worst you would be true neutral but more often then not you were neutral good. Is it because you argued cannibalism should be culturally ok that one time? It better not be. What do they even want me to do here? Kill the heroes? Did you see their levels! Assuming this was like an RPG they were all easily in the end game , not even mentioning their possible god like items, information of the world, political might and any other shenanigans they might have.

“Aaaarggh! it didn’t work!” *slam*

Huh? Who said that? What didn’t work? Did I just hear a door slam shut?

And Why can’t I bloody see anything?

You tried opening your eyes and.... You could see. “So its just like when I was a human, thats good” you thought to yourself. Or at least the act of “Opening” your eye(s) was the same There was however a major difference compared to when you where human: you saw in all directions at once. It didn’t feel sickening as one might expect, or at least: not entirely.

It was as if your brain was split in 2, 1 half human and unfamilliar to this body and world while the other half instantly knew what to do. The monster part instantly knew how to see and thus it felt very natural. But the human part of you still felt that things weren’t normal.

I guess you were just going to need to deal with it and hope it gets better over time. Or at least that the uneasy feeling would go away.

When looking in all directions at once you immediatly noticed the HUD, one of your godlike gifts. It was like a layer on top of everything else and looked rather uninteresting with its design.

But if this was going to be stuck to your face for the rest of your monster life (however long or short that may be) you would rather have something functional over something flashy.

In the top left corner you saw the standard RPG information:

A blood red health bar [5/5]

And a purple mana bar [10/10]

Finally there was an orange bar which wasn’t labaled. Probably something to unlock later.

When in your mind you tried to expand this information you got more information.

Your health just added more zeroes [5.00/5.00] so that was useless

Your mana was slightly more usefull but nothing you could use right now. It showed your mana regeneration [0mp/s] . So at least there was a way to naturally regenerate mana.

The orange bar just gave a bunch of question marks.

The most interesting yet still least suprising was your level. Your level first split into sorcerer level [1] and monster level [1]. When you then focused more on both of those they split into entire skill tree’s.

Yes, not skill tree, skill trees. As in multiple. we’ll get back to that later shall we. For now lets focus on our original goal: sight, and figuring out who or what made that noise just now.

Looking around the room you noticed a few oddities compared to what one might imagine a normal building to look like. The most notable of which was the massive blood red circle with strange symbols that were covering the entire floor.

As you looked further your opinion of your summoners drastically decreased. In the corner of the room was some sort of goat like creature. It had a white fluffy coat simmilar to a sheep ad instead of 2 loose horns it had 1 that went all the way over its head like a bicycle head. It also appeared to have slightly orange skin underneath its fluffy coat. It looked weirdly alien and you would have loved to give it a pet, you loved animals back on earth after all. Sadly enough its throat was slit open and to your horror its blood had the same tint of red as the circle you were standing in. They better have given it some form of anaestetics or you may just end up rampaging through this place like those demons wanted.

The final item in the room was perhaps the most interesting. Right in front of you was a lecturn with a thick black book laying opened on top of it.

You tried to squint your eye(s)? to read some of the text in the book but couldn’t make anything out.

You did however figure out how your HUD worked a bit more. As you squinted your eyes a little marker seemed to float softly above the book and some text appeared: “ritual book of summoning. LV1” so your HUD could give extra information if you focused on an object, that would surely come in usefull. As you tried to expand its information you only got its health bar [2/2] (its honestly quite depressing to only have a little over double the hit points of a thick book) and a whole bunch of question marks.

You tried jumping up to grab the book but you couldn’t quite jump that high so you decided to leave it and move on.

Looking behind the lecturn you saw a simple wooden door. And whats even better: its slightly open. Whatever is behind that door: it can’t be any worse then a dark room filled with goat blood. Ignoring the fact that the voice probably came from that direction you quickly moved towards it before somebody decided to lock it.

Moving was weird. While jumping didn’t feel any different from the mental imputs you would give as when you were still a human moving as a slime felt very different from moving as a human. You could feel your body doing a combination between rolling and gliding across the floor. That wasn’t the weird part however, it felt pretty natural in fact. No the weird part was how your vision got kind of blurry when you moved. You weren’t completly blind but it was as if you weren’t wearing your glasses when you were a human. This might prove to be a problem later but since you were in a tiny room right now all you missed out on where some details in the stone brick walls.

Slowly you reached the door and slipped between the crack into a larger room. It had a simmilar stone brick wall as the previous. With a square table and 3 wooden chairs in the middle, a chandelier which lit the room up hanging from the low ceiling and thankfully no more goat blood.

Surrounding the table you noticed 3 robed figures who seemed to be in an increasingly intense argument. Once you stopped moving you saw it was 2 men and a woman. One of the men glanced in your direction but quickly focused his attention back to the discussion (You’re still a scary murderous monster from their perspective right? are slimes really that weak?)

“You said you were a good summoner!” One of the men shouted

“I’m the best summoner you’re gonne find around here!” Yelled the girl back (so she’s probably the one who summoned you).

“Then why miss expert summoner, did we only get THAT” as the second man said this he pointed his finger accusingly at you, still standing awkwardly at the door.

“Caprea’s are much to expensive to slaughter for your dumb slime experiments”. The first man snapped.

“You get 1 more chance, otherwise we’ll find a better summoner and it will be your blood we use”

After that threat the 2 men left the room. You could hear them going up some stairs before the sound faded. The woman meanwhile sat down on a chair with a deep sigh.

You weren’t entirely sure what to do and so, after awkwardly waiting for anything to happen you decided it would be best for you to leave. The girl didn’t react as you slid past her towards the door (you would be insulted if not for the fact that she could probably kill you effortlessly in a fight).

When you reached the door you disappointingly discovered it was locked.

Oke, what do they normally do in movies? Bash through the door? No that would never work, you weigh as much as a baseball. Hairpin? You had no hair, no pin and no hands.

And thats when you thought of something seemingly obvious: magic. You had no clue how it worked but everything so far had been pretty obvious. And you already knew a famous spell for opening doors.

Deciding it was worth a shot you for the first time spoke these words without being sarcastic:

OPEN SASAME

Well, the door didn’t open. But you did get a list.

Combat spells:

Mana bolt (5 MP)-> Fire a quick small magic dart from the users body that damages whatever it hits

Mana lance (10 MP)-> a more powerfull version of mana bolt that deals more damage and temporarily stuns a target (based on targets stun treshhold).

Mana drain (1 MP/S)-> [autocast] drain 2MP from a target. If target and user make skin contact: Spell costs (0 MP/S) and = 50% more effective.

No spells for opening doors, but hey: at least you had some combat capabilities. Altough you could at most cast only 2 spells.

So whats next? Mayby you could find some keys.

You moved around in the small room to see if you could find some keys. Of course there weren’t any.

So mayby the woman has them? While you were looking around she moved into the room you were originally summoned in and was flipping through the black book.

Not seeing any other option for escape and with no way to communicate you slowly crept towards her from behind to see if you could see any keys.

It was then that she finally paid attention to you. You hoped she would let you leave, like you would open the door for a bird that flew into your home back on earth.

Instead of doing that however she suddenly had a knife and was walking towards you with a sad expression “I’m sorry little guy, but its either me or you”

Oooooh that can’t be be good.
