Ascension High School

Glendale Park. A big park/reserve in the hills. Popular hangout for the kids. Large pond to rent paddleboats and canoes, barbecue pits.

Relationships

Jackie - Father and mother. (Unnamed so far.) Father manages a small chain of restaurants. Mom serves as the maitre'd once in a while. Her mother may be hiding a secret...

Marie - Mother is out of their lives. Her dad worked too much. Mom suspected he was having affairs. Extremely wealthy businessman, travels a lot. Pays a lot to Marie's mother in settlements. Marie raised herself. Very proactive, very assertive.

Lisa - Athletic, tall, strong. Track friends and such to be explored. Family to be explored too. Extremely ambitious, proud of her athletic prowess, wants to compete in high level competition, maybe even Olympics. Family unexplored so far.

The World

Technology is our level, but a few companies are making tremendous strides toward optimizing and actually collecting and storing solar power. Computer chips are also far more advanced, and quantum computing is making breakthroughs to be more of a household object.

The world's athletes seem to be breaking records at an unprecedented pace. Fractions of seconds consistently shaved off of physical feats every year. Something seems to be accelerating humanity's growth...

Progress seems to be concentrated in a few choice locations. A lot of athletes and leading scientists can often be traced back to a specific high school in their given country.
