The Winding Road

"We thank you for the offer, but we would like to make our own way," Yulia answers and the Sahuagin King looks disappointed, but nods.

"If that is your wish," he says with a shrug.

He indeed makes no attempt to stop the four of them as they leave and head back to Aqua's area. Yulia looks at the small structure and wonders if Aqua is even still in there. The four surface, not wanting to be underwater while testing out the Leech Mask.

Isalia is given the tentacle dagger and puts it away as Yulia looks at the Leech Mask a little nervously. She slips off her Plague Doctor Mask and puts on the Leech Mask.

Immediately like the Boar Mask it seems to transform her. She let's out a screeching noise as the mouth of the mask undulates slightly.

"Yulia can you hear me?" Cherchiel asks and Yulia responds with another screech.

"I don't think she can speak," Isalia states.

"That makes this harder..." Cherchiel remarks annoyed.

"Do... We keep going?" Isalia asks and Cherchiel nods. Isalia hesitates and then gently pokes her finger with the trident, just enough to break the skin and cause her to bleed. Immediately Yulia's head turns to her and her mouth begins to undulate faster and then she suddenly tackles Isalia and bites her hand. Isalia screams and tries to push Yulia off as Yulia sucks on Isalia's hand.

Yulia suddenly releases Isalia's hand and gets off of her standing still as Goma holds her hand out towards her. Yulia reaches up and pulls the mask off, taking a bunch of heavy breaths.

"That was... Intense... I..." she looks at Isalia who is getting back up and holding her hand. The back of her hand has a gross leech like bite mark on it and is bleeding still. Yulia stares at the injury and then looks away quickly, "I... I'm sorry and... I..." she swallows, "I can still... smell the blood... It makes me... Hungry. I want to..." Yulia shivers obviously uncomfortable as she continues, "I want to slice into your flesh, feel the skin split... feel the blood flow... into my mouth, onto my body... I want to bathe in it... I... I have a terrible urge... to kill something..." she admits.

"Okay... Not great..." Cherchiel says.

Yulia quickly pulls her Plague Doctor Mask back on.

Goma runs over and heals Isalia's hand as Yulia hugs herself, still trembling slightly.

"Are you gonna be okay?" Isalia asks Yulia and Yulia shakes her head.

"The desire... It's not going away... It's getting stronger... I don't want to hurt anyone, but... I need to," she says.

"Well then. Let's hope we find the floor boss soon," Cherchiel says and puts an arm around Yulia's shoulder as she leads her to the water and they again dive down.

Yulia lets Cherchiel guide her as they head towards the winding path. The path seems long and goes deeper and deeper as it goes. A powerful current pulls the group down forcing them into the winding path, unable to swim upwards. They move slowly through the maze like path. They continue forward untuil suddenly Isalia stops the rest of the group and points. Up ahead there's a section of the path's wall that has small slits in it. They're hard to spot, but upon seeing them they are clearly artificial, "something is waiting in there. It's an ambush... What do we do?" she whispers to the others.
