The Ultimate Test
The tension in the room was thick enough to cut with a knife. Sandra was practically vibrating with anxiety, her eyes darting between the front door and her father’s—currently much more feminine—form.
"Wait," Sandra gasped, her voice dropping to a panicked whisper. "You didn't just pick a random time for this, did you? Who did you invite, Dad?"
Walter, still leaning casually in his new body, gave a triumphant-looking grin. "A true scientist needs an audience to witness the perfection of his work! To prove that this isn't just a mere copy, but something... indistinguishable!" He looked toward the door with a mischievous glint. "I invited Mr. Angelmann!"
Sandra’s jaw nearly hit the floor. "Alison’s dad?! You invited Mr. Henderson over to see you... like that?!" She gesticulated wildly at his half-naked, 18-year-old physique. "He's coming here right now? To meet you who looks exactly like his daughter?"
"It’s the ultimate test of my invention!" Walter explained proudly, though he looked a bit too smug for the situation.
Rebecca looked like she was about to have a stroke. "Walter, you can't just bring a father in here to see his daughter's body being used as a costume for his best friend! It’s scandalous! It’s weird! It’s—"
A heavy, authoritative knock at the front door cut her off mid-sentence.
The silence that followed was deafening. Everyone froze. Sandra looked at her father—at the impossible, beautiful, and utterly confusing sight of him standing there in Alison's likeness—and felt a wave of sheer terror. She realized they were completely unprepared for the encounter about to unfold.
She grabbed his arm, her voice trembling as she hissed, "Dad, what did you tell him exactly?"
