The Transition Arc

AN: One piece is confusing. Let me explain. I was doing research for the story on where in the story would be best for the character to start at. I had one rule. that it must be after Robin joined because I had a plan for her. But, unless you really know your stuff there is no clear jumping on point for the story. Thank god for Wikipedia. With this out of the way I would like to warn my fellow one piece fans that while I am a fan of the show and know the basic stuff up to the kaido arc I don't know the in depth stuff about one piece like specific characters or plotlines that might be integral to the show. I have a general understanding and general knowledge of One Piece so don't get too upset at me if I get some things wrong or mess up the characters.

It had been five years since the day you left your crumbling life as the child of nobles. A lot has happened since. Firstly, the pirate crew you were with had expanded into an armada called the Hunter's Syndicate. Secondly, due to the rising infamy of your crew you eventually decided to leave after three years of being with them. Finally, Due to the amount of success your former crew had and the amount of success you had. You decided to settle down on a large island in paradise. This island was called Haruka Island after the founders only daughter.

The island supported a small trading town of roughly 300 buildings. There were shops, farmer's markets, taverns, blacksmiths, and the like. You had heard of Haruka Island on your travels and had visited it once during the later years of your journey. Having liked it the location and the people you had a house built in a more isolated part of the woods. for when you needed a rest from pirating. Which came quite in handy when you left the crew. Thankfully, you weren't stupid enough to leave a pirate crew/syndicate on bad terms so you made sure to leave them with a lot of Beli and supplies in return for your departure. Having had created quite an amicable reputation amongst the crew they agreed to it.

Although, unlike most of the island you kept up to date with your information. You had heard about a crew of upstarts calling themselves the Straw Hat Pirates. Hearing about their exploits and deeds made you interested in them and got you yearning for another adventure. You were quite impressed by there bravery in standing firmly against Crocodile. Not only that, but they were actually able to hold their stance against crocodile and win against them. Which you know from experience is no easy feat.

During your journey you had run into the would be dictator. He had been weary of you and your crew and grew paranoid that we were going to stop his plans to take over Arabasta. It costs the lives of a lot of the crew and nearly cost you several limbs but you eventually held him to a stand still. With this you had convinced him to let the crew and that no one was interested in stopping or impeding his plans. With this he let you and the crew go but not before leaving you a reminder in the form of a scar to never cross paths with him again. The scar stretched from your left shoulder to the right of your waist.

That incident along with many others is what led you to quitting the crew and taking a break from the pirate life. With your daily reminiscing done you decided to get and get ready for a trip to town. You shower, get a casual outfit on, and eat breakfast. For today you decided to go with black jeans, black boots, and bandages to cover your abs. You had a tendency to not wear a shirt because whenever you did you would break into a severe rash. You eventually were able to eventually understand that it was because of the stress from your parents and being a pirate. For some reason though bandages especially wrapping bandages didn't affect you. With these thoughts out of the way you left your house and headed down the path to town.
