Chapter 111

What's next?

The Tiara of House Reyes

“Now will you help me?” Selena asked as she put her tunic back on, the taste of Marco’s cum still strong through her entire mouth.

“Alright, what do you want?”

“Go to my chambers, and get me something more suitable to wear.”

“Alright.”

Selena sat on Marco’s bed for a few minutes until he returned with a green dress that had a square neckline. She took off her tunic and put it on, despite him watching her.

“One more thing,” she said.

“Hmm?”

“Don’t tell anyone I’m here.”

Marco considered her for a moment, looking her up and down again.

"One more favour from me shall require another favour from you?"

"Are you serious? After what you just made me do? Please, please help me, I don't have the time."

"Alright, if you promise to return the favour later."

"Fine." She huffed, folding her arms.

Marco nodded, then returned to the party.

Selena headed upstairs. It was finally time to fulfil her plan and stop Giulietta from getting hold of the tiara of House Reyes.

She crept up the many stairways of the house, having to hide in different bedchambers whenever she could hear any of the guards.

Finally, she reached her uncle Javier’s chambers, where the tiara was said to be kept. She took a deep breath, and with all the courage she could muster, she walked in.

Javier was the head of House Reyes in name, though he’d been ill and bedridden for a long while; his eldest son Flavio currently ran the house.

The safe would be in Javier’s bedchamber, only accessible to someone of the blood of House Reyes.

She entered the bedchamber, heart settling a little when she heard her uncle snoring.

She approached the enchanted safe in the corner of the next room, her heart pounding in her chest.

She knew that the safe would require blood to unlock, so she cut her finger with a pin to provide it. She placed the drop in the designated slot, and the safe unlocked with a soft series of clicks.

Selena opened the safe and her eyes widened at the sight. Inside, along with other priceless family heirlooms, was the Tiara of House Reyes. It was a magnificent circlet, glittering black.

Her mind raced with thoughts of how to stop Giulietta, but she knew she couldn't do it alone. She would need Varga’s help again.

She carried it in a firm grip as she crept out of the bedroom, hearing her uncle stir and she stopped dead, but he quickly went back to snoring.

As she exited his chambers, she closed the door with a quiet screech. Then she felt cold steel on her throat, and her heart stopped.
