The TV News Anchor

Chris turned back to the multiscreen-monitor staring at the ring on his hand in wonder. There’s no way that this new-found power came from a small ring, right? He needed to test it out a bit more, just to be sure. Unfortunately, as he found out after 10 minutes or so without Courtney coming back, his prior change **** her to leave work early. So Chris didn’t have much time to think about how to test his ring as he now had the burden of 2 operators on his back for the next few hours.

Around 5pm, Chris breathed a sigh of relief and finally sat back in his seat. His other coworker, Mitch, came in early to take over on the board while Chris went on his much-needed break. Chris grabbed his bagged sandwich and chips and thanked Mitch profusely before heading to the break room. He sat at the table in the back room, pulled out his food, turned up the TV, and returned to his thoughts.

As Chris pondered who he should test the ring on next, the station’s Evening News started up on the TV. After the usual fanfare, the logo dissolved to a wide shot of the studio with the 2 anchors standing on opposite sides of the wall TV. On the left was Jeffrey Hamilton, the long-standing veteran of the station and all-around nice guy. On the right was the gorgeous Jessica Lane, a fairly new anchor for the station but a well-respected one.

At the sight of Jessica, Chris sat right up with inspiration. Ever since he was hired at the station, he’d had a huge crush on the supermodel-esque anchor of the evening news. Jessica was on the shorter side, maybe 5’4 in heels, but she was easily the prettiest woman at the station. With slightly-longer than shoulders brunette hair, a narrow face with big blue eyes, and a small but noticeable b-cup bust, Jessica had a quickly growing fanbase amongst the viewers. Her best feature though, and the one Chris loved the most, was her wide hips and amble ass. Chris found himself fantasizing about her supple butt often and how it would feel with his dick wrapped in between the cheeks... On second thought, Chris realized he may be a bit of a sex addict.

As he watched the duo talk about the latest bad news, Chris thought about how he could test his new powers on Jessica. Chris tended to avoid her on a normal work-day because: A. She was hot as hell, B., She and him didn’t work in the same department and didn’t have much to really discuss and C., She was a definite diva. Thinking it over, Chris knew that the easiest place to cross paths with her would probably be the break room. With a devilish grin, Chris finished his meal and returned to the Tech Operator room to wait for the right moment...

An hour and a half later, the 6pm news was over and Chris noticed Jessica leave the studio to refill her water for the 7-o-clock show. He followed in a nonchalant way, rubbing his ring in anticipation. Jessica stood at the water fountain as Chris walked in and gave a polite smile and nod to him as he headed her way. Her smile faltered as he got close though, she clearly didn’t expect him to talk to her.

“Hey, great show Jessica!” Chris said with a big grin as he leaned against the kitchen counter.

“Oh thanks.. Uhhh..” Jessica looked apologetic as she tried to remember his name. Chris wasn’t upset though, he didn’t expect the local celebrity to remember him anyway.

“Chris, Tech Director” Chris reminded her with a fake smile.

“Right! Chris! I’m sorry, just a little frazzled from the shows” Jessica explained, putting the lid back on her water and making a move to walk away. “Thanks for the compliment!”

Chris panicked, feeling his moment slipping away. “Oh, uhhh... you don’t want to talk to me?” He asked sheepishly as Jessica walked away. All of a sudden, she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and walked back to him looking apologetic again.

“Oh, I’m sorry! I’d love to talk!” she said, leaning against the opposite wall from the counter. “What’s up?”

Chris tried to hold in his smirk as she cluelessly fell into his trap. The ring actually works! Now to get her to be a little closer to him... “I was just curious how things are going for you. Are you and your fiance still getting married this year?”

Jessica’s face fell at this question and she looked down at the floor in dismay. “Um... well... actually we called off the marriage...”

Chris acted in mock surprise to hide his smirk. “Oh no! I’m so sorry Jessica...” He reached out a hand and put it on her shoulder to comfort her. “He wasn’t cheating on you, was he?”

Jessica got visibly sadder and Chris could see tears welling in her eyes. “No, that’s the thing. I caught him in the middle of a 3-way! I can’t believe I almost married him...” She sniffed and then brushed away his hand softly, composing herself. “It’s fine though, I’ll be okay. That was probably too much information anyway, I’m sorry.”

“No no, it’s okay!” Chris said. He paused to think for a second and asked, “You don’t have any problem talking to me, do you?”

Jessica sniffled and cleared her eyes of the slight tears. “No, I guess not. I feel like I could tell you anything really. Which is weird because we haven’t really talked much in the past.” She smiled, opening up a bit more to Chris. “I really should go though, the next show is going to start soon.”

“You’re right, have to go do your job after all.” Chris agreed. He was thinking quickly. It was too soon to finish his tests, but he had to get back to his job as well. An idea struck him suddenly. “Wait a sec.. Uhhh... would it be... rude of me to ask you out for drinks after your shift tonight?”

There was a long pause, longer than Chris would’ve liked. Did he phrase the question in the right way? Finally, Jessica smiled a big grin that melted Chris to his core. “No, that wouldn’t be rude at all. Pick me up outside at midnight, okay?”

“Okay!” Chris exclaimed excitedly. Jess gave a sheepish grin and a wave and headed back to the studio as Chris stood frozen to the spot. He couldn’t believe it! He was going on a date with Jessica Lane! He looked down to the ring and kissed it in glee. He couldn’t wait to do some more tests tonight....
