The Story

Joceyln Stone was a corporate spy. She had gotten a job at a prestigious investment bank, a bank that had been beating its competitors in returns for years. Joceyln got a plumb job as a trader and analyst.

After a couple of weeks, her boss, the VP of research invited her to an "exclusive gathering of top traders, analysts, and executives at a private Manhattan club. She agreed, expecting liquor to loosen some tongues about how they got their stock tips.

Joceyln dressed in a tight little black dress and black heels, and the bank sent a car to pick her up.

She arrived at a three story Manhattan brownstone.

"This is it?" she asked the driver.

"Yes, it's exclusive. No signs. Just knock on the door."

Jocelyn got out, walked up the stairs and knocked on the door. A young man in a black suit and black tie opened the door. "Joceyln Stone?"

"Yes."

"Right this way." He ushered her down the hall to an elevator. A tray of full champagne flutes was on a silver tray. "Champagne?" He offered her a glass.

Joceyln thanked him and took it. She took a sip as the man opened the elevator. "Second floor."

Joceyln entered, and the man shut the door. She pressed the button for the second floor. She took another sip of champagne. "Wow, strong stuff," she said to herself as she felt her head swim a bit.
