The Storm Arrives

The morning after the snowstorm, Mark woke up in his room, his eyes flickering open to see the blank blue eyes of Phoebe Page staring back at him. Panic briefly set in before Mark remembered the day before and what he has done.

“Hey there Phoebe. I think you’re much more agreeable like this, don’t you think,” Mark asked the frozen girl. Phoebe did not and could not respond. Mark kissed his doll on her lips, before realizing a pair of arms were wrapped around him. He soon realized that these belonged to Katie, who was still asleep behind him. They apparently had a threesome with Phoebe the night before.

Awkwardly he shuffles his way out of Katie’s arms so as to not wake her, while at the same time, he is pushing Phoebe’s body out of the bed. Phoebe doesn’t seem to mind, and Mark can briefly feel her stiff hand brush against his member. Soon, the blonde is at a 90 degree angle, being held up by Mark as he gets up. Once he is up, and quickly puts the frozen teen back in her spot in the bed for Katie to enjoy when she wakes up.

Stretching, Mark looks around the room. Dawn was still on the floor, her butt still raised in the air, her legs posed as if she were still sitting. She was still dressed in her underwear, and her head was turned to the side, her mouth slightly agape. Likewise, Gabriella still stood by the closet, wearing only her bra.

Walking up to Gabriella, Mark turns her by the waist and unhooks her bra from the back, and pulls it away, exposing the frozen teen’s breasts. Though not large by any means, they still looked cute and work for her frame. Mark places a kiss on them, and weighed them in his hands, causing Gabriella to wobble in place on her heels. She didnt seem to mind that she was naked, and simply stared forward with blank brown eyes and a slight smirk on her face as if she were enjoying it.

There was no where near the same amount of noise coming from outside, with Mark figuring the storm must have passed by now. Looking at a clock he saw it was 7:30 in the morning, and knew no one else would be up. Quietly, he put on a pair of boxers and a robe, before he exited his room, and headed to the bathroom for a piss, before heading downstairs to the kitchen to grab a quick bite. As he headed down the stairs however, Mark stopped as he head two voices talking.

His father’s voice was loud enough and distinct enoutgh to know it anywhere. He must of just gotten home after an extra long shift due to the storm. It was also clear he was talking to someone else, whose voice was equally familiar to Mark, that being his father’s partner Officer Bryce Thompson.

“... their parents are really worried,” Officer Thompson said, his voice calm but laced with concern. “Phoebe Page’s parents filed a missing persons report this morning. And now dispatch is saying additional reports were filled for the girl’s friends Gabriella Borbón and Dawn Chavez as well. What ever happened to them, all the parents agree they went together.”

Mark stood still on the stairs not moving a muscle, the blood draining from his face. His hands tightened into fists at his sides. They were talking about the frozen girl’s in his room. His mind raced. Could the police already be onto him? Was his father starting to suspect something? No, his father hadn’t been home all day, it was just a coincidence Mark told himself. Still he had to listen in.

“I know, I know,” Mark’s father continued, “but the storm last night… It’s possible they just got caught in it. But still, we need to keep an eye on things, just in case.”

Mark’s heart pounded in his chest as he listened to his father speak. His voice sounded reassuring, but Mark could tell it was tinged with genuine worry. Officer Thompson’s voice followed, more insistent now.

“We’ve reached out to some of their other friends, but no one’s heard from them. They’re all going to be questioned soon. I just… I don’t like the timing, Frank. We have to do something.”

Mark clenched his teeth, silently cursing. This was getting too close. He had to act, and fast.

Before he could decide what to do next, he heard the footsteps of his father approaching the stairs. Panicking, Mark quickly moved away from the door, turning to Katie, who had stirred from her sleep at the noise. She sat up groggily, rubbing her eyes.

“What’s going on?” she whispered, sensing something was off.

“Shh,” Mark hissed, his eyes wide with urgency. “They’re talking about the doll’s downstairs. Each one of their parents filed a missing person’s report this morning. They’re starting to catch on.”

Katie’s eyes widened in surprise, but Mark wasn’t waiting for a response. He quickly moved to the window, peeking through the blinds to see if he could spot any sign of trouble outside. There was nothing unusual, just the quiet of the neighborhood in the aftermath of the storm. He turned back to Katie, a new determination in his eyes.

“Okay,” he said, taking a deep breath, “we need to leave. We can’t stay here. If they start asking too many questions, it’ll be over for us. I’ve got a plan.”

Katie blinked, still processing. “A plan?”

Mark’s mind was already moving at full speed. “We’re going to take them on a trip—all three of them. To New York City. A road trip. Time is still frozen, and we can make it look like they just decided to take off. We’ll take some photos and post it to their social’s. That should at least get their families off our backs or at least discredit the claim to the cops.”

Katie hesitated for a moment, but then a sly grin crept onto her face. “New York City is two hours away! Plus do you think that will work?”

“I know it will,” Mark said confidently. “No one will ever suspect anything if we control the narrative. Plus I can freeze time, remember? We’ll be back before anyone knows we were gone.”

Mark paused for a moment, listening intently for any sounds from downstairs. Hearing nothing, he decided to move. He walked over to Gabriella, picking her bra off the floor and putting it back on her frame.

Mark turned back to Katie, who had gotten out of bed and was currently standing Phoebe up on her feet, making sure to stabilize the blonde.

“We can’t use their clothes from yesterday. I also assume you know nothing about girl’s make up?”

“Uh…. Yeah,” Mark admitted.

“Then I guess this will be a learning opertunity for me to teach you.” At this point, Katie picked Dawn up from the floor as well, working to straighten out her limbs first. At this point, she smirked.

“What’s so funny,” Mark asked, still low key panicking.

“Well, a trip to New York City. I think this counts as our first date.”

“We’re officially dating?” Mark asked, slightly taken aback.

“After last night? What do you think?” Katie said, raising an eyebrow.

“Yeah, yeah, I guess we are. Thank you Katie. I…. I love you.”

“I love you too.” The two of them then kissed again, no one else in the room seemed to notice.
