Chapter 32

Blackwhip, or Float?
The Sports Festival Begins
"Then... does that mean you saw my master, Young Midoriya?" All Might seemed anxious, drinking tea together with Izuku in his faculty room. The green-haired boy shook his head, making him deflate a little more.
"It's all like a blur to me. I dug into my chest... well, the darkness that had replaced it. And all I found was a pair of keys. After that, everything gets confusing. I remember being afraid, and feeling like my feet had left the ground, and becoming engulfed by darkness..." The pro-hero put his skeletal hand on Midoriya's shoulder, trying to stop him from shaking a little now and then.
"It is troubling to be unaware of whether you gained Banjo's Quirk or master's first. Regardless, today is an important day, and we cannot afford to have the future Symbol of Peace be a nervous wreck during his debut."
True enough, today was the beginning of an event more popular in all of Japan than even the Olympics. Scarcely a soul would miss U.A.'s School Festival in the country, and this included Pro Heroes, sidekicks and scouts, all of them on the lookout for future contracts and work studies contacts. If Izuku performed well enough, he could be capable of attracting the attention of agencies as big as Endeavor's, Best Jeanist's, Hawks', and others.
All Might was serious, even though a smile showed on his face. "Above all, remember that everyone will be watching. I have exhausted my time limit today, running around the city stopping villains and solving dire problems, so I cannot be there to celebrate Class 1-A's victories as All Might. Instead, I will be sitting alongside the crowd, celebrating you guys as an excitable old man. Show the world that you are here, Midoriya Izuku. And no matter what happens, I'll be proud of you."
Those were All Might's last words to him for the time being. Now, he walked out of the campus in search for the rapidly-crowded U.A. Stadium
"GOOD MORNING EVERYBODY! ARE WE READY TO ROCK?! HOW WE DOIN', SPECIAL GUEST ERASER?!" Mic's voice roared through the stadium, unaided by speakers or technology. A much, much more tired, groggy voice followed his, easily recognizable over the speakers as that of Aizawa.
"So loud first thing in the morning... I still don't know why I'm here." Mic's rebuttal took less than an instant. "BECAUSE WE NEED THOSE ANALYTICAL EYES UP HERE, AND THAT BRUTAL HONESTY TO REACH OUR AUDIENCE! NOW LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!"
"Yeah, yeah. Let's get this over with."
"WELL THEN, YOU HEARD THE MAN HIMSELF! GET THOSE CAMERAS READY, MAKE SOME NOISE AND BE PREPARED FOR THE HOTTEST SPORTS FESTIVAL IN U.A. HISTORY!" People were, of course, making some delirious amounts of noises in the stands - it seemed as if they were overpacked, though still within safe bounds. "I ONLY HAVE ONE QUESTION: ARE... YOU... READYYYYYYY?!"
Class 1-A slowly walked out of one of the many gates leading to the Stadium to the sound of roaring applause and cheer, all while Class 1-B, General Studies and R&D Studies classes entered the open area through other passageways. Izuku could only cower nervously looking side to side, unable to stop himself from trembling a little.
"I-I-I didn't k-know there would b-be so many people..." Uraraka noticed his nervousness, taking the chance to hold his hand in her own to reassure him. "Psst... it's okay. Just breathe in... and out... nice and steady. We'll do our best and get the pros' attention, so let's stay focused, alright?"
He flashed back to that night in her room, when she told him about why she wanted to become a hero. Of course she was pumped for this - getting pros to notice her meant she'd have lucrative options to choose from during internships and once she graduated. She would be able to help her parents like this.
"Aha!" His other arm felt a pair of soft, perky cushions press against it, a hint of pink in the corner of his eye revealing that Mina was squishing it with her boobs. "Handholding, handholding! Awww look at the blushy wushies~" The more she teased, the more mortified they became, with Ochako looking away from the two of them and Izuku's eyes unable to move away from Mina's chest.
He's all pent up again... eyeing me so hungrily, ehehe. I can see that big bulge trying to poke out of your hero costume, Midoriya~
I wonder if these two are already an item... if not, then... maybe he'd like me to help him out a little, like last time? I wouldn't mind sandwiching his cock again... maybe with these tits he's so hypnotized by... ahh, stop it Mina, you slut~
Surprisingly, once they reached their respective seats in the open field while Midnight gave an opening speech, another pair of hands reached for his shoulders. It were Momo's, apparently trying to give him a massage. "I'm sorry if this startled you, Midoriya-san. You looked very tense and nervous back there. My mother taught me just how beneficial massages can be when you're feeling stressed out, and recently I've been asking our house maids to teach me how to give them..."
House maids? Just how filthy rich was Yaoyorozu? Even one servant would require a full time salary, let alone multiple... Still, he couldn't even think of asking her at the time, far too relaxed and enjoying the massage to find a moment to. Uraraka's mental voice hit him during that time, when Momo was finishing up.
Hmm... I should ask her to teach me... maybe he wouldn't need to get them from her specifically then. I'm his girlfriend, after all, right? Shouldn't I be the one being intimate with him, and giving him massages?
Danger Sense jolted Izuku's brain for a moment, a flash of imagery hitting his brain - he saw himself surrounded by every 1-A and 1-B girl, being pleasured by them, in front of his point of view, as well as his POV's hands being weirdly soft, feminine, and having swirls on their fingertips... was this something Uraraka was thinking of? Those were the only hands he knew had those swirls on them.
Why am I remembering that dream...? I don't like it... I feel jealous and left out and then I feel like the bad guy for feeling this way... My chest's so heavy, and I think I'm about to tear up...
Uraraka's hand let go of Izuku's, who couldn't help but feel guilty about her feelings. He didn't want to see her like this. Even though the First had mentioned to go forth and gather a harem, what point was there in one if he couldn't make even a single girl in it happy? How could he save everyone when he can't even save a happy relationship? Didn't he have a responsibility to uphold when given the power to know what bothered his loved one?
For a moment, the outside world stopped mattering. His jittering stopped. His back straightened up, eyes set on Uraraka's soft, trembling lips. A few seconds later, the cheering crowd went silent, the big screens previously capturing footage of the opening speech now focused on an unexpected turn of events.
D-Deku-kun...?!?!?! T-The c-cameras... everyone... n-not here...! - Uraraka's mind screamed out as he surprised her with a tender kiss, but no amount of renewed cheering, whistling and surprised gasps from the crowd and his classmates was enough to deter him from showing her how much he loved her.
Ah-! Wait! That's bold, Midoriya!!! Oh damn they're going at it... I knew they made a cute couple, eheheh~ So... why... does my chest feel a little weird looking at them? I kinda... wanna know how that feels like for some reason. But I can't hurt Ura-chan like that... and what's with this atmosphere? Most of the girls went kinda quiet... - Mina's mental voice soon followed, although it was difficult to listen to it; between the very loud crowd and classmates and the multiple minds he could hear, it was hard to tell what they were saying.
Oh... oh my. I knew they seemed close, but to do such a bold thing in front of the entire country... well... it's a little romantic, I have to admit. Maybe I'll find someone like that soon. - Momo's mind managed to filter in some thoughts before he could hear a rather sad voice in the background.
Shit. I knew I should have made a move earlier. It's not like a shy guy was going to jump me just because I made him breakfast a couple times. Damn it, now I'm pissed at myself. I don't even know why, I barely know the guy, I just think he's so cute and reliable and... tsk. Okay, I'm also horny for him, whatever. That was Jiro's voice. Of all their voices, she was the most disappointed in tone.
"A SUDDEN SURPRISE! MIDORIYA, YOU SLY DOG, THIS AIN'T AN AMERICAN BASEBALL GAME! LOOK AT THESE KISS-CAMS! THIS LITTLE MAN REALLY WOKE UP AND SAID 'I'LL WIN THIS FESTIVAL AND I'LL WIN HER HEART WHILE AT IT'! LOOKS LIKE HIS TEACHER AIN'T TOO HAPPY ABOUT THAT, THOUGH! GIVE IT UP FOR THIS BRAVE KID!"
Midnight was already pulling Izuku's ear by the time Mic was done hyping people up even harder. "At least listen to my speech...! I swear, you and your youthful spirit..." Once she was done playing the strict teacher for the distant cameras, though, she gave him a tiny wink, whispering out "...but that's what I like about my students~" to him.
The embarrassed boy rubbed his ear as he looked back at Ochako's own flushed face, most of it hidden behind her hands. "You... read my mind again, didn't you, Deku-kun...?" He nodded. "...thanks. It was really embarrassing, but... also really sweet of you to reassure me like that. Jealousy just gets to me a little, sometimes."
"Okay, kids, did you catch everything I said? This year's Sports Festival is going to be special. You're going to be sparring each other in a tournament-style series of battles. There will be a protective dome to prevent any stray projectiles from hitting the audience, and that acts as a one-way mirror for you to focus on the match rather than the noise or people around. The matchups are decided entirely randomly. That's the gist of it. Let's wait and see who squares up against who first."
"OKAY ERASER, HIT THE BUTTON AND LET IT RIP!" Mic's voice boomed through the field.
"k." Aizawa's voice was much quieter. The big screens changed at the press of a big, red button in order to display... a video of an overweight kitty trying to get up and failing miserably, meowing sadly all the while. The entire audience's 'aww's could be heard.
"THE OTHER BUTTON, BUD! THE BIG RED ONE!"
"k."
The screen changed once again, this time showing two quickly-shifting portraits, a big "VS" between them. Nervousness was slowly seeping back into Izuku's mind as he wondered if he'd be as unlucky as to be the first one to fight... but Uraraka's hand was there to hold his own once more, giving him the bit of strength he needed.
The scrolling portraits stopped. The results were already there.
"BAKUGO KATSUKI FROM 1-A! VERSUS! HITOSHI SHINSO FROM GENERAL STUDIES!"
