The Shadow Broker

Jane’s eyes widened as she looked at the yahg she had once helped Liara defeat. “Hello, Shepard,” the yahg said. “I don’t believe we’ve formally met before. You may call me Ares.”

Shepard found herself thrown into a cell as she was bound to a wall and ungagged. “YOU!” Shepard yelled. “How are you alive?”

“You never killed me,” Ares said. “You simply slowed me down. When Liara took over as the Shadow Broker. She left me with little choice but to flee. But after the Reapers were defeated, you were MIA and that left me the perfect opportunity to take my place again as Shadow Broker.”

“But you’re not the Shadow Broker!” Shepard yelled. “You don’t have the information you need!”

“But I have you,” Ares said. “And with that completion, I can control the galaxy once more. I still have agents that follow me. I still have people willing to lay down their lives for me. Your enemies are my allies. Cerberus. They were willing to help me. And I was willing to help them too.”

“Where is Liara?!” Shepard yelled.

“Imprisoned. Don’t worry, I’ll let you watch as I **** her and her friends,” Ares said.

Shepard struggled as a holo popped up showing the feeds of all her friends bound in various ways. All naked. Shepard gasped as she saw Liara her beautiful body had some light scars and were reddened from clear beatings. “I’ll kill you!” Shepard yelled.

“No. You won’t,” Ares said.

And with that, the yahg left.
